Wildcard Introduces Revenue Sharing

Wildcard has shared details about its growing web3 ecosystem. The game, which is set to launch in October, has already surpassed 75,000 accounts on Steam wishlists, reflecting strong early interest from players. The web3 component is integrated into Wildcard’s Thousands community platform, which combines interactive streaming technology with an esports economy. This approach links virtual game assets to potential real-world revenue for participants.

Wildcard Fantasy League and Character Sponsorship

A key feature of the ecosystem is the Wildcard Fantasy League. Within this league, users who have completed KYC verification can sponsor in-game characters using Wildcard’s WC token. While the token is live, it is currently airlocked in wallets and does not have an official liquid trading price. The total supply of WC tokens is 88,888,888, which establishes a limited circulation within the ecosystem.

The sponsorship system allows users to purchase characters at a fixed WC price, ranging from 4,750 WC for rookie characters to 28,500 WC for professional-level characters. When a sponsored character is drafted into the game’s season, the sponsor receives a signing bonus in USDC and a share of the character’s in-game winnings. This model provides an opportunity for players to engage directly with the game’s esports economy while benefiting from character performance.

Venue Ownership and Revenue Sharing

In addition to sponsoring characters, Wildcard offers the potential to own rights to in-game venues. These rights allow users to share in the revenue generated from these virtual locations. Unlike character sponsorship, venue ownership is more exclusive and limited, reflecting the higher value and scarcity of these assets within the ecosystem.

For those seeking more information on the Wildcard Fantasy League, token mechanics, and revenue-sharing opportunities, details are available in Wildcard’s whitepaper or on the official Fantasy League website.
