Over 20 games are set to land on Xbox between July 6 and July 10, and the headliners are not messing around. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced and EA Sports College Football 27 both drop on July 9, with the Sword Art Online ARPG Echoes of Aincrad following on July 10 to close out the week.

The two biggest releases of the week
Ubisoft'sAssassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced is the one most eyes are on. The original Black Flag is still considered one of the best entries in the series, and this remake promises enhanced visuals, upgraded gameplay, and new content built on top of that foundation. It is not coming to Xbox Game Pass at launch, so you'll need to buy it outright.
Landing on the same day, EA Sports College Football 27 brings the college football experience back for another year. The pitch here is the same as always: program pride, Saturday traditions, and a career mode built around balancing personal ambition with team expectations. Also not on Game Pass.
Echoes of Aincrad rounds out the week
Echoes of Aincrad, published by Bandai Namco, arrives on July 10. Set inside the iconic floating castle from the Sword Art Online universe, it tasks players with building a hero, choosing gear, and mastering combat through a partnership system. The game leans into co-op synergy mechanics and progressive ability unlocks, which should appeal to fans of the anime and action RPG players alike. Like the two July 9 releases, it sits outside Game Pass.
Here's the thing: three notable releases in a single week is a solid showing, but the broader July calendar is where things really pick up. Denshattack! (July 15, Game Pass included) and The Mound: Omen of Cthulhu (July 15) are just around the corner, followed by Planet Crafter on July 21 with Game Pass support for up to 10 players.
What the rest of July looks like from here
The back half of July is where the month gets genuinely heavy. Halo: Campaign Evolved, the rebuilt-from-scratch remake of Halo: Combat Evolved with 4-player online co-op and 3 new missions, is dated for July 28 and comes to Game Pass. Mistfall Hunter, a dark fantasy extraction ARPG from Bellring Games, follows on July 29, also on Game Pass.

The July 6-10 window sets the tone for what is shaping up to be one of the busiest months Xbox has seen in years. Beast of Reincarnation from Game Freak arrives August 4 on Game Pass, and Hell Let Loose: Vietnam from Team17 follows on August 13, so the pipeline stays full well past the end of the month.
