A solid July 4th weekend for your wallet. Cyberpunk 2077 Ultimate Edition has dropped to $57.99 at Target for the Nintendo Switch 2, and that is just the headline of a broader batch of deals worth knowing about right now.
The Cyberpunk deal that actually makes sense
The Ultimate Edition bundles the base game and the Phantom Liberty expansion onto a single cartridge, so you are getting everything CD Projekt Red shipped for the full Cyberpunk experience. At the regular $69.99 price, it is a reasonable ask. At $57.99, which is $13 off MSRP, it is a genuinely good entry point if you have been waiting to see how the Switch 2 version holds up before committing.
The key here is that physical game collecting has been a topic of real conversation lately, and a full-package physical release at a discount is exactly the kind of thing that moves quickly.
FF7 Remake Intergrade hits its lowest Switch 2 price yet
Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade is down to $29.99 on Switch 2 at Amazon, a 25% cut from its $39.99 list price. The PS5 version goes even further, sitting at $19.99 (50% off). If you are planning ahead for Final Fantasy VII Revelation, which is expected next year, Intergrade is the starting point for the remake storyline following Cloud Strife and the party through the escape from Midgar.
Two versions, two prices, one story. Worth picking whichever platform you prefer.
Dragon Quest, Nioh 3, and the Switch 2 Camera
Dragon Quest I & II HD-2D Remake is down to $39.99 at Amazon, a 33% discount from its $59.99 launch price. The HD-2D treatment did a lot of heavy lifting for Dragon Quest II in particular, adding new story content that makes this the most complete version of the game ever released.
Nioh 3 is also discounted on PS5, sitting at $47.49 versus its $69.99 list price. That is roughly $22 off for a game that launched in early February and brought an open-world structure to the series for the first time.
The wildcard deal this weekend is the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, which is down to $29.99 at Amazon from $54.99. That is nearly 45% off the accessory that enables video chat through GameChat, the Switch 2's built-in communication feature. Star Fox on Switch 2 already introduced VTuber filter support through GameChat, which gives the camera a use case beyond basic video calls.
What else is on sale
Outside of gaming, Barnes & Noble is running a 50% off Criterion Collection sale right now. Titles like The Princess Bride and Parasite on Blu-ray are down to $24.99 each from $49.99. The Wes Anderson 10-film 4K archive is $249.99, down from $499.99. These Criterion transfers are typically supervised by the original directors and come loaded with bonus material, which makes the 50% timing one of the better opportunities to build out a physical film collection.
For everything else you want to play through this weekend, the Cyberpunk 2077 guide collection has you covered if you are jumping into Night City for the first time on Switch 2. And if you are picking up multiple games from this list, the broader gaming guides hub is a useful bookmark to keep handy.
