Break and Steal an Egg on Roblox packs 78 collectible pets across nine biomes, each one generating passive income the moment you drop it in your pen. The catch: every egg in a biome has a random chance of hatching any pet from that zone, so you are grinding until you complete the index rather than targeting specific eggs. Knowing which pets exist in each area, what they pay, and what speed you need to survive the guardian makes the difference between efficient farming and wasted runs.

How does the pet system work in Break and Steal an Egg?

Every pet sits inside an egg scattered across its home biome. You break the shell with a pickaxe, hatch the pet, then sprint back to the Safe Zone before the biome's guardian catches you. The pet then earns money every second based on its stats. Rarity tiers run from Common at the bottom through Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Divine, Cosmic, Secret, Celestial, Inferno, and Void at the top end. Higher rarity almost always means higher income, though the speed requirement to survive the guardian scales sharply as you push into later zones.

Hatching a pet for the first time also pays out a one-time discovery reward in both speed and cash, which you can use to push further into the next biome faster. Completing the full index for a biome is worth chasing early.

Break and Steal an Egg Guide: All Pets in Every Biome

All Forest pets

Forest is the starting biome. The guardian is manageable at low speeds and the eggs are easy to crack with a basic pickaxe. Eight pets live here, ranging from the $1/s Chicken up to the Legendary Bear at $1,800/s.

The Bear is the clear priority here. At $1,800/s it outpays every other Forest pet combined by a wide margin, and the 100 Speed discovery reward is a meaningful bump toward Desert entry.

All Desert pets

Desert introduces the first real speed wall. You need 1,000 speed to outrun the guardian, and the eggs require a Golden pickaxe to crack efficiently. Seven pets are available, topped by the Legendary Chirema at $2,800/s.

All Planet X pets

Several pets in this zone still have unknown income values, meaning the zone is still being fully documented. Twelve pet slots exist, with the final few still unnamed.

What about the Fallen Angel egg pets?

The Fallen Angel pets are a separate category entirely. They are not earned by breaking eggs in any biome. The only way to get them is through the in-game Robux store. Six pets are available: Fallen Angel Bat, Fallen Angel Scorpion, Fallen Angel Hound, Fallen Angel Golem, Fallen Angel Demon, and Fallen Angel Cerberus. Their exact income values are not displayed in-game, and they carry no discovery rewards.

These are purely premium purchases rather than progression milestones, so they do not affect your biome advancement path.

What's the best strategy for completing the pet index?

The random hatch mechanic means there is no shortcut to targeting a specific pet. Your best approach is to maximize the number of eggs you break per run. A faster pickaxe shortens break time, more speed means you can grab eggs deeper in the biome before the guardian closes in, and completing lower-rarity pets first frees up your index slots so you can track what is still missing.

For new players still learning the core loop, the Steal an Egg beginner guide walks through the nest-to-base cycle and explains how to build speed efficiently from the Forest zone upward.

For a full picture of every egg type and the pets they can produce, the complete eggs and pets income reference breaks down every biome's egg pool alongside income rates so you can plan exactly what to target first.
