Season 11 of The Crew: Motorfest marks the start of Year 4, and it's one of the bigger drops the game has seen. A free island in Kaua'i, 20 new vehicles headlined by the Bugatti Tourbillon, a paid Tomb Raider crossover, and a brand-new winch mechanic all landed on October 7, 2026. The Nintendo Switch 2 version followed a day later on October 8. Here's the short answer: if you're a free player, Kaua'i and the Kaua'i Expeditions playlist are yours immediately. The Tomb Raider island of Ni'ihau requires either the Year 4 Pass ($29.99) or the standalone DLC ($9.99).

What's free in Season 11 and what costs money?

This is the question most players ask first, and the answer is cleaner than you might expect.

Free content includes the Kaua'i island, the Kaua'i Expeditions playlist, the new winch gameplay feature, wildlife across all islands, the Pure Dirt TrackForge kit, the Exploration Camera, and new Grand Race paths. The Suzuki Jimny 2018 is earned by completing the Kaua'i Expeditions playlist at no cost.

Paid content splits into two tiers. The Year 4 Pass at $29.99 covers 21 vehicles across the season (four per season plus the five Tomb Raider exclusives) and bundles the Tomb Raider DLC. The Tomb Raider: Secrets of Ni'ihau DLC can also be bought separately for $9.99 and includes the Ni'ihau island, eight playlist events, and five exclusive vehicles.

Kaua'i island: what to expect when you arrive

Kaua'i sits north of O'ahu and covers 95 km of asphalt and 105 km of off-road terrain. The environment mixes swamps, canyons, and forests, putting it roughly on par with Maui in total size. The emphasis here is clearly on off-road exploration rather than circuit racing.

The new winch tool is central to how Kaua'i plays. Eligible vehicles can attach to hard surfaces, objects, and contextual vehicles to drag obstacles out of the way or pull themselves through tricky terrain. You can filter your garage for winch-compatible vehicles before heading out. When a route looks blocked, look for the on-screen interaction prompt rather than trying to force a driving line that isn't there.

A Road Progression feature also arrives with Season 11, letting you map uncharted sections across O'ahu, Maui, and Kaua'i. Every new mile you reveal is tracked.

Kaua'i Expeditions playlist: rewards and collectibles

The Kaua'i Expeditions playlist runs across ten events and tasks you with navigating the environment using a compass rather than GPS. Completing it rewards the Suzuki Jimny 2018 (Street Tier 1).

Beyond the main events, the island has additional activities for completionists:

  • 40 wildlife species to photograph across all Hawaiian islands
  • 23 beacons to locate on Kaua'i
  • 17 PhotoQuests tied to the island

Playlist completion and full exploration are tracked separately, so you won't accidentally block yourself from the Jimny by skipping collectibles.

What are all the new cars in Season 11?

Season 11 adds 20 confirmed vehicles with more still to be announced. The table below covers every confirmed car, its class, how to get it, and its availability date.

The Bugatti Tourbillon deserves a separate note. It's a successor to the Chiron, producing 1,775 hp from a naturally aspirated 8.3-litre V16 paired with three electric motors. This is its PC and console racing game debut. The Proving Laps special event (October 14 to November 4) lets you drive it for free and earn up to 500 Prestige Tickets, but driving it in the event does not add it to your garage. Owning it requires a shop purchase from October 14.

The Hennessey Exorcist can be won through The Summit or bought in the shop from October 21, giving you two routes to one of the season's more interesting Hypercars.

Tomb Raider: Secrets of Ni'ihau DLC explained

The Tomb Raider crossover sends you to Ni'ihau, a hidden island where Lara Croft's friend Jonah has gone missing while searching for an ancient artefact. Eight playlist events make up the main experience, mixing driving with puzzle-solving inspired by the Tomb Raider series. There are also four dinosaur species on the island.

The five exclusive DLC vehicles are:

  • Mercedes-AMG G 63 6X6 2013 (Rally Raid)
  • Honda Africa Twin Adventure Sports ES 2021 (Rally Raid Bike)
  • Suzuki Quadracer R450Z 2008 (Rally Raid)
  • Proto A500 2016 (Helicopter)
  • Kimberlite HP-18-160 Camina Plane 1968 (Plane, also a new Seaplane vehicle type)

The Seaplane is a new vehicle category entirely, combining aerial and naval navigation. Both the Seaplane and the 6-Wheeler are Season 11 additions that expand what the game's vehicle roster can actually do.

TrackForge Pure Dirt kit and other new features

The Pure Dirt TrackForge kit adds 200 new modules focused on off-road course creation: mud sections, rock formations, dirt paths, and terrain-heavy route elements. You can build, test, and share courses through the existing track creator. TrackForge events also now earn increased XP and Bucks compared to previous seasons.

Other quality-of-life additions in Season 11 include:

  • Exploration Camera available on all ground vehicles for a wider view
  • Rainbows (and occasionally double rainbows) now visible across Hawaii
  • Wildlife roaming across all islands, with 40+ species to photograph
  • RC car handling adjusted based on player feedback, including reduced understeer on The General
  • Prestige Tickets now available to purchase with Crew Credits under the Consumables tab

What else is coming later in Season 11?

Season 11 runs for roughly three months before Season 12 begins. Two additional events and one new story are scheduled after launch:

Proving Laps: Bugatti Tourbillon (October 14 to November 4) gives you the chance to drive the Tourbillon and earn Prestige Tickets.

The Archives: Rainbow Dan (available November 4) is the season's new story. You follow an archivist retracing the life of a forgotten local driver named Dan O'Hara, completing open-world tasks to piece together his motorsport legacy.

Holiday Special: Gift Rush (December 16 to January 6) is a free seasonal event where you race through Hawaii smashing gift boxes. Completing the first objective unlocks the "Secret Santa" title; hitting 80 gifts in the second objective rewards Holiday Decorations dashboard figures.

How to prioritize your first session in Season 11

The mistake most players make is jumping between every new activity at once and losing track of which reward they were chasing. Pick one goal per session.

  • Want the free car? Run the Kaua'i Expeditions playlist to completion. The Suzuki Jimny 2018 unlocks when you finish it.
  • Want to try the Bugatti? The Proving Laps event is free from October 14. You won't own it after, but you'll get Prestige Tickets.
  • Want the Exorcist? Check The Summit schedule from October 21 before spending shop currency.
  • Own the Year 4 Pass or Tomb Raider DLC? Start with Ni'ihau. The eight playlist events there are time-gated content you'll want to experience before the season ends.

If you enjoy open-world racing games with consistent live service updates, Season 11 represents one of the more substantial drops in The Crew: Motorfest's four-year run. The free Kaua'i island alone adds meaningful terrain, and the winch mechanic changes how off-road navigation actually works rather than just adding a cosmetic layer.
