Wax Heads for Nintendo Switch ...

Wax Heads is a cozy punk narrative sim set inside a struggling record store called Repeater Records. Each "track" is a workday, and your job is to match customers to the right album based on their hints, moods, and stories. Get it right and you earn a perfect rating. Get it wrong and you leave someone walking out with the wrong record. This guide covers every customer across Tracks 1 through 7, with the exact album solution for each one.

How do you start Wax Heads and what should you pick first?

When you first boot up the game, you are asked to choose between two starting options: No Refunds or Customer is Always Right. For anyone new to the game, go with Customer is Always Right — it is the more forgiving starting condition.

You will also be five minutes late on your first day. Either dialogue choice works here, but the walkthrough below assumes you picked "Do not fire me" before your conversation with Morgan wraps up.

Track 1 walkthrough: all customer solutions

Once you leave the staff room, Morgan will walk you through opening Repeater Records. Interact with the door to open the shop, and your first customer walks in.

Mimi Superfan

Choose the first dialogue option to make an instant connection. Check the employee handbook when prompted, then find the Still Mimi album — it has "new" written on it and sits on the right side of the browsing screen. Add it to the cart, print the receipt, pick an emoji, and confirm the cash payment.

Tony (Cheapskate)

Tony wants a discount. Head left from the Still Mimi section and look for the album sitting to the left of Bad Toes — it is marked over 50% off. That is the correct pick for a perfect rating. The Self Deprecating Toast and Jam album is also discounted but only earns a mediocre result, so skip it.

Alexis

Alexis wants something harmonious. Stay in the same section where you found Tony's album and select The Secret Male Choir Club. Perfect rating secured.

Winston

Winston wants a record that reminds him of his husband, and the hint is a saxophone. Head north from the Still Mimi section toward the door and look for the album with a saxophone on the cover — that is Peep. Print the receipt, add emojis, and complete the sale.

Hank

Hank is an employee on his day off who wants to make a flyer together. This is not a standard sale. Let your creative side loose, print the flyer, and enjoy the conversation before he leaves.

Kelly

Kelly needs a record for her sister — something with a rain cloud on it. Head right from Still Mimi and look at the two Sister albums. The rain cloud is on the disc itself, not the cover art, so do not be fooled. Select the Sister Snake album for the perfect rating.

After Kelly leaves, Morgan will close the shop and an event will occur. Choose the first option when Morgan asks you to keep quiet about it.

Track 2 walkthrough: opening up solo and new customers

Track 2 starts with the shutters down. Interact with all three shutters to open the shop. You will find yourself in the staff room with Abi and then Tee joining the conversation. Abi mentions a review of the Sister album on Walking the Cow — read it on the mobile at the top left.

After the conversation, check the laptop to buy staff room decorations, then explore the expanded album selection before opening the store.

Billy

Billy wants the album where Hank left a note. That is Bad Toes, located in the Mimi section. Perfect rating.

Chloe (Teenager)

Chloe is after the Sister Door To A Light album. Head right from the Mimi section to the Sister albums and choose the one on the right side.

Kaz (Delivery Man)

Kaz wants an album about breakfast. Head right from the Sister section and grab Ego, Sunny Side Up. Perfect rating.

Lewis

Lewis wants something real and sickening. You might instinctively reach for the untitled Grass album, but that only earns an okay score. Bad Toes is the correct answer here for the highest rating.

Clarissa (Mother)

This one is a two-part puzzle. Clarissa says nothing new, but her daughter's birthday means you need to think about what the daughter actually wants. Give Clarissa the new Mimi album for her daughter, and you will earn the best rating. The Red Hidden Heart is technically an option but only nets an okay score.

After Clarissa, the day ends with a staff conversation and the Live with Clive event. You get to pick two questions from three — choose whichever you like.

Track 3 walkthrough: new faces and the Gringle connection

You will meet Paul at the start of Track 3, followed by Matteo. After they leave, decorate the staff room if you want, then open the shop.

Craig (Doting Boyfriend)

Craig is vague, but the puppies hint points toward a specific album. Head right past the Sister section to the far right, where you will find the new Bricked Ego album. Since Brick Dog no longer exists, this is the new release. Perfect rating.

Mascot Dad and Mascot Daughter (Lira)

This conversation requires close attention. The Mascot Dad's meaningful hint comes when his daughter mentions the beard — he reacts with "..." rather than "mmhph." Look for the album featuring a person with a big beard. Behind the Still Mimi new album, you will find Going Gringles by Gareth Gringle. That is the one.

Lawrence

Lawrence is not a Gareth Gringle fan and wants something from Brick Dog instead. The Bricked Ego album earns an okay score, but the perfect rating comes from Brick Dog, Live At The Snack Bar 2013. Go with that one.

Chip Lennington

Chip wants something flowery, positive, and with an air of royalty. The flowers hint leads directly to Going Gringles by Gareth Gringle. Perfect rating.

Patri

Patri asks if "it" is out yet, which is not much to go on. The only recent release that fits is Can Yer Grins by Bricked Ego. Head right from the Sister section all the way to the far side to find it. Perfect rating.

After Patri, a conversation with Paul and Matteo closes out Track 3.

Track 4 walkthrough: banned customers and a drink for Hank

Track 4 opens with Paul handing you something to check out, followed by a conversation with Hank. Decorate the staff room, then head out for a chat with Hank before opening up.

Ishaan

Ishaan wants a local record recommendation. Head left from the Mimi section and look for Bad Toes — it reads as the most local option available, and it earns the perfect score.

Jaz

Jaz is in the banned section photo. When dialogue options appear, select the second one (since she was banned from singing in the store). She sings anyway, and Paul steps in.

Rod

Rod's explanation sounds strange, but he wants a record from the first band of someone who is now in a supergroup. That points to Ego, Sunny Side Up. Add it to the cart for the perfect rating.

Ali and Patri

First, Rita Butterfly will come in, but since Willow's albums are not in stock, you cannot help her. Then Ali arrives looking for an album with a rectangular pattern and four legs. Head right twice from the Mimi section to find the Bruck! album. Complete the sale, and Ali will ask you to pass his number to the girl outside.

Patri walks in next. Pass along Ali's number, then find a record for her dad. The most fitting gross option is Let's Fuzz Unlimited Grass, located to the left of the Mimi section.

After Patri, the staff room fills up with Morgan, Hank, and Paul. When Hank asks for a drink that tricks his brain into thinking it is beer, choose Edge Trimmer. The Live with Clive event follows, and you pick two of three questions again.

Track 5 walkthrough: cheat codes and new stock

Track 5 starts with a conversation between you, Matteo, and Tee. Open the shop when ready.

Theo (Gamer Guy)

Theo is stuck on a video game and needs a rap album whose cover symbols form a cheat code. A new section has appeared in the store, but the album is not there. Head left from the Mimi section and select the one in the middle: Now Play This by Nia Pixel. Click the cover to reveal the cheat code on the back. Perfect rating.

Kaz (Delivery Man) — second visit

Kaz is back on a delivery run. He needs a band whose name sounds like something you would say after coughing or sneezing, with a song called Smells Delish. That band is Snarl. From the Mimi section, head left, then north, then right twice. Among the three albums there, choose the one on the left: Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom. Perfect rating.

Winston — second visit

Winston wants an album by Reggie Xavier. Check the Phonogram on the mobile — the account @Tiff_tell_it reveals that RXX is Reggie Xavier. Head left from the Mimi section and select the Levitation album. Perfect rating.

Jarhead Dennis

Dennis needs an album where the band confesses the truth. From the RXX album area, head north then right to find three Jarhead albums. The correct one is The Blooded Belljar.

Tony (Cheapskate) — second visit

Tony is back for a discount, specifically from the new stock. From the RXX album area, head north to find the Ghost Bucket album. The discount is not huge, but it is from the new stock, which is exactly what Tony demands. Perfect rating.

After Tony, a conversation with Matteo and Tee closes Track 5.

Track 6 walkthrough: rain, a landlord visit, and a hidden customer

Track 6 opens with a conversation between you, Hank, and Abi. Hank will ask you to complete a task — the guide image from the source covers the layout, so take your time getting it right before opening the shop.

Summer

Summer is soaked from the rain and needs cheering up. Head left from Still Mimi and go north. The first album you see is the right one: Dirt. Perfect rating.

Mei

Mei wants a song she can listen to and stop dancing. Head to the main area near the shop entrance and select the Campsite album. Perfect rating.

Billy (Wet) — second visit

Billy is back, soggy and complaining about his album being removed from the featured section. He wants something unapologetically loud. You might think Jarhead is the answer, but all three Jarhead albums only earn an okay score. Head right from the Jarhead section to the Snarl albums and pick the one in the middle: Eye Tried by Snarl. Perfect rating.

After Billy, Dan Luffy (the landlord) shows up during a staff conversation.

Steven (Tired Dad)

Head north from Still Mimi to find Gecko Jester. The gecko visible around Steven during the conversation is the main clue. Perfect rating.

The Hidden Customer

She is vague with her hints, but she wants a Mimi album — specifically Mecha Mimi Meets Mother, found in the Mimi section. Perfect rating.

After the hidden customer, a conversation with Abi and Hank closes Track 6.

Track 7 walkthrough: magazine reviews and the final day

Track 7 starts with a conversation involving Hank and Morgan. Organize the staff room, then open the shop.

Chloe (Marco's Sister) and Marcho (Chloe's Brother)

Marcho suggests the new RXX album, but that is not what Chloe actually wants. She needs a rap album with girl power energy. Go with Now Play This by Nia Pixel — the same album Theo needed in Track 5.

Gordy

Gordy wants something with a thick, droning punk sound built around a bass riff. Head to the Sister section and pick the album in the middle. Perfect rating.

Lin (Metal Head) and Roy (Metal Head)

These two are vague but manageable once you check the latest magazine in the Sister section. The magazine reveals that the reviewer's name is Calvin (not Kevin), and he gave Deadly Last Gasp of Freedom by Snarl his number one rating. That is Roy's album. For Lin, Calvin gave a double thumbs up to Shatter First — confirmed on the second page of the magazine. Add both to the cart. Perfect rating for both.

Priya

Priya wants a powerful, foreboding documentary soundtrack by Earth. The closest match is Dirt — head left from the Mimi section and then north. Perfect rating.

Darren

Darren just went through a breakup and wants something brooding, dark, and twisted. Read the description of Mecha Mimi Meets Mother and it becomes obvious. Select it, add it to the cart, and close out with the perfect rating.

After Darren, Morgan and Hank appear for a conversation, followed by the landlord and a new character, James Grenth. The Live with Clive event closes out Track 7, and you pick two questions from three as usual.
