Find Laboratory Reagents in Medical loot at Testing Annex, Buried City’s Hospital and pharmacies, and Stella Montis’s Medical Research in ARC Raiders. Start with Testing Annex for a compact search, or choose Buried City when you want several medical buildings to check in one raid.

Laboratory Reagents are Rare recyclables used to upgrade the Explosives Station. Search medical containers and exposed surfaces, then secure your finds before taking on unrelated objectives. The named locations are farming targets, not guaranteed spawns, so plan for repeat visits.

Which Laboratory Reagents location should you choose?

Choose your destination by the layout you want to search. Testing Annex concentrates medical loot into a smaller building, while the Hospital requires a floor-by-floor sweep. Buried City’s pharmacies offer alternatives when you do not want to enter the Hospital.

Medical loot is the priority, but Laboratory Reagents can also appear in medical containers outside Medical-tagged areas. Check those containers when they are already on your route; do not replace a focused medical search with random cupboards across the map.

Dam Battlegrounds search route

Start at Testing Annex

Testing Annex is the first choice for a short, focused reagent run. Its medical rooms and back storage area let you check several suitable loot sources without clearing a large hospital.

Plan a focused medical search

Use this search order:

  1. Find the entrance with stairs and an alarm above the doorway.
  2. Enter and turn sharply left into the room containing medical loot.
  3. Search the medical crates and cabinets.
  4. Continue through the remaining rooms, including the back storage area.
  5. Scan shelves and exposed surfaces before leaving.

Cracked Bioscanners, Antiseptic, and Rusted Shut Medical Kits can also appear here. Pick up the medical components you still need, but leave enough carrying capacity for your reagent target.

Check your extraction route before entering the building. Testing Annex has an extraction point nearby, but reaching the building and finding the item are separate parts of the run. Leave once you have secured a useful find instead of adding a full-map loot circuit.

Use Research & Administration as a backup

Research & Administration contains a dedicated medical room despite the building’s broader Commercial and Technological loot categories.

Take the zipline to the upper floors, turn right, then left, and continue to the end to reach the medical room. Search it when Testing Annex is empty or when your approach makes this building the more practical stop.

Keep industrial-material detours separate from a successful reagent run. The ARC Raiders Rusted Gear locations cover those farming stops when you are ready to switch workshop targets.

Buried City search route

Search Plaza Rosa Pharmacy across both floors

Plaza Rosa Pharmacy offers a smaller alternative to the Hospital. Its front door requires breaching, and its medical loot extends beyond the ground floor.

Check both pharmacy floors

Breach the entrance, then search the ground-floor shelves. Continue upstairs and check the cabinets and shelving there before deciding the pharmacy is empty.

An intact breachable entrance is a useful first check, but it does not guarantee Laboratory Reagents inside. Treat the doorway as an access check, not a loot prediction.

Piazza Arbusto Pharmacy is another Medical loot stop on the same map. Use it as an alternative when your chosen pharmacy is already searched or reaching the Hospital would require an unnecessary detour.

Sweep the Hospital floor by floor

The Hospital in New District contains medical equipment, beds, storage rooms, and blue medical crates across multiple floors. Search one floor completely before moving to the next so you do not miss side rooms.

Check open cabinets, desks, and shelves as well as searchable containers. Laboratory Reagents can sit directly in the environment, so an empty crate does not finish the room’s search.

The nearby Research building provides another Medical loot option if you still need reagents after the Hospital. Avoid extending the raid solely because another building is available when you already have the item you came for.

For a later Buried City run focused on different materials, the ARC Raiders Cooling Fans farming routes explain the Space Travel building search. Keep that objective separate when reagents are your immediate upgrade bottleneck.

Stella Montis and other map options

Search Medical Research on Stella Montis

Medical Research is the dedicated reagent destination on Stella Montis. Its Medical loot includes containers and items placed on shelves near medical equipment.

Scan Medical Research shelves

Clear the medical rooms systematically, checking storage containers and shelf surfaces before moving on. This is a high-threat area, so choose it when you are prepared to navigate Stella Montis and extract with the loot.

Do not expand the search into unrelated rooms simply because they are nearby. A Medical-tagged room is a more deliberate target than general containers elsewhere in the facility.

Check Commissary Supermarket on Pendola Pass

Commissary Supermarket has both Medical and Commercial loot. Check its medical containers and exposed loot when your raid already takes you through the supermarket.

Blue Gate and Spaceport are backup choices for medical containers encountered during other objectives. For a dedicated Laboratory Reagents run, start with the named medical facilities on Dam Battlegrounds, Buried City, or Stella Montis.

How to search without missing reagents

Recognize the item and check loose loot

Laboratory Reagents appear as a brown glass bottle with chemical hazard markings. Look for the bottle itself when checking loose loot, not just an interaction prompt on a crate.

Use the same sequence in each medical room:

  • Open medical crates and cabinets.
  • Check medical carts, workbenches, and storage containers.
  • Scan shelves and open cupboards.
  • Look across desks and counters before leaving.

This sequence covers both container loot and exposed item placements. Repeating only the container checks can leave a reagent bottle behind on a shelf.

Reserve carrying capacity and protect your find

Each Laboratory Reagent weighs 3 kg and stacks up to 3. A full stack weighs 9 kg, so account for that weight before filling your inventory with secondary loot.

Use a custom loadout with an Augment for Safe Pocket access; free loadouts do not provide it. Move your reagents into the protected space when capacity allows.

Repeat a short medical route if the first visit produces nothing. Loot varies between raids, and a named farming location does not promise a fixed number of bottles or a set completion time.

Should you keep, sell, or recycle Laboratory Reagents?

After completing the upgrade, decide between direct sale and recycling based on what you need next.

Keep your Explosives Station upgrade materials first

The Explosives Station upgrade from Level 2 to Level 3 requires:

MaterialRequired quantity
Laboratory Reagents3
Explosive Compound5
Rocketeer Driver3

Store the reagent requirement intact until you complete the upgrade. Finding the bottles does not finish the material checklist if you still need Explosive Compound or Rocketeer Drivers.

If your station is still at Level 1, the ARC Raiders Synthesized Fuel locations cover a material needed for its Level 2 upgrade.
