The Mansion section of Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival is one of the game's meatier areas, packed with rooms to search and resources to find. Like other areas in the game, a locked keypad stands between you and the supplies behind it. This one leans on a bit of history knowledge, but the clues are all there if you know where to look.

What is the Mansion Great Fire keypad code?

The code is 1966. Enter those four digits into the Mansion keypad and the door opens. That's the short answer if you just need to move on.

For the full breakdown of where the clue comes from and how the answer is derived, keep reading.

How do you find the Great Fire clue in the Mansion?

The puzzle is built around a note found on a shelf, positioned low and to the left of the keypad itself. The note reads: 'Remember, remember, the year I was born. 300 years after the Great Fire melted flesh, ate homes, reduced it all to dust.'

That note is doing most of the work. The Great Fire of London broke out on Sunday, September 2, 1666, and burned through until Wednesday, September 5, 1666, destroying homes, churches, St. Paul's Cathedral, prisons, and large stretches of the city.

The math is straightforward: 1666 + 300 = 1966.

How to solve the Mansion keypad

Here's the full sequence if you want to work through it properly rather than just punching in the answer:

  1. Locate the keypad in the Mansion area.
  2. Find the note on the shelf to the lower-left of the keypad. It references "300 years after the Great Fire."
  3. Cross-reference with the painting in the room, which shows the year 1666 on its reverse side.
  4. Add 300 to 1666 to get 1966.
  5. Enter 1966 into the keypad to unlock the door.

Why does this puzzle work the way it does?

Keypad puzzles in Hellraiser: Revival follow a consistent pattern: the lock is nearby, the clues are in the same room or just adjacent, and the solution requires combining two pieces of information. The Mansion's Great Fire puzzle is a clean example of that design. One clue gives you an operation (add 300 years), the other gives you a starting point (1666 on the painting). Neither clue is useful alone, which is why players who only read the note sometimes get stuck.

The note's phrasing is deliberately cryptic, borrowing from the "Remember, remember" rhyme to give it a period-appropriate feel. Once you know the Great Fire of London happened in 1666, the rest resolves immediately.

More puzzles and guides

The Mansion keypad is one of several locked containers scattered across Hellraiser: Revival. The game's adventure games design philosophy means environmental storytelling does the heavy lifting for most puzzles, so reading everything in a room before brute-forcing a code is always the right approach.

For every other puzzle, walkthrough, and strategy in the game, the full Clive Barker's Hellraiser: Revival guide collection has you covered.
