Crimson Desert Guide: Silver Ore Location

Silver Ore is one of the rarer crafting materials in Crimson Desert, and the game does almost nothing to point you toward it. No map marker, no quest nudge. Just a hidden cave behind a waterfall that most players walk right past. Here's exactly where to find it, how to get inside, and what you'll need before you go.

What is Silver Ore used for in Crimson Desert?

Silver Ore is a refinement material processed at the blacksmith. Its primary use is upgrading jewelry, making it one of the more targeted crafting resources in the game. Unlike Iron or Copper Ore, which show up frequently across Pywel, Silver Ore is classified among the rarest ores and appears in only a handful of hard-to-reach locations. If your jewelry upgrades are stalled, this is the material holding you back.

What tools and skills do you need before mining?

Two things are required before you can reach the Silver Ore deposit. Skip either one and you will not get inside the cave.

Pickaxe (from Rhett's Request commission)

The Pickaxe is obtained by talking to Rhett in Hernand during the early game and completing the Rhett's Request commission. This is a straightforward early-game quest, and the Pickaxe you receive is the tool used to break and collect ore deposits throughout Pywel. Alternatively, once you're inside the cave, you can destroy Silver Ore nodes with Force Palm instead, but the Pickaxe is the cleaner option.

Stab skill (Level 1 minimum) and Force Palm

You need at least Level 1 of the Stab skill to dash through the waterfall. If your skill tree shows Level 1/3 for Stab, you're ready. Force Palm is learned automatically during Chapter 1 and is needed to destroy the boulder blocking the deeper section of the cave. Both skills are required, not optional.

Where is the Silver Ore location in Crimson Desert?

The only confirmed large deposit is at Three Saints' Falls, located north of Hernand Town. The cave holds 25 to 30 Silver Ore in a single visit, which is a substantial haul given how rare this material is. Reaching it takes a few minutes of navigation, but the route is repeatable once you know it.

How to reach the Silver Ore cave at Three Saints' Falls

This is where most players get stuck. The entrance is not obvious, and the movement required feels counterintuitive the first time.

  1. Travel to Three Saints' Falls, north of Hernand Town.
  2. Find the statue near the waterfall and stand in front of it, facing the waterfall.
  3. Jump down to the ledge below the statue.
  4. From the ledge, position yourself directly in front of the waterfall.
  5. Use the Stab skill (PS5: R1 + Triangle / Xbox: RB + Y / PC: Shift + Right Click) to dash through the water. You need to be on the rock that physically touches the waterfall for this to work.
  6. You will land inside a small cave behind the waterfall.
  7. Inside, locate the large boulder blocking the path and destroy it with Force Palm (R3 on PS5 / Mouse Wheel on PC).
  8. Move deeper into the cave to find the Silver Ore deposit at the end.

How many Silver Ore can you get per run?

The cave at Three Saints' Falls contains 25 to 30 Silver Ore per visit, confirmed across multiple sources. That is the largest single concentration of Silver Ore found in Crimson Desert so far. Since the game launched recently and the world is still being explored, additional locations may surface. The current sources are clear that Silver Ore is among the rarest ores in the game, found in only a few caves that are difficult to access.

Tips for efficient Silver Ore farming

  • Make sure your inventory has space before entering the cave. With up to 30 pieces dropping, a full inventory will leave ore on the ground.
  • You can use Force Palm to destroy ore nodes inside the cave if you prefer not to switch to the Pickaxe. Both methods collect the ore.
  • The ore respawns after a period of time, so the Three Saints' Falls cave is a location worth revisiting for repeated farming runs.
  • Silver is also earnable through bounties and theft, but mining remains the most consistent method for accumulating it in bulk.
