The Tetratronic Rippler Mk.5 is the best cyberdeck for most netrunners in Cyberpunk 2077. Its +40% Combat quickhack damage bonus rewards a straightforward queue order, and it boosts weapon damage against enemies affected by non-Combat quickhacks.

Specialist decks make more sense if you mainly hack through cameras, use stealth takedowns, or fight with Smart weapons and Monowire. These recommendations use Update 2.1 stats and effects, with the Phantom Liberty-exclusive Militech Canto Mk.6 covered separately for players who want Blackwall Gateway.

Which cyberdeck is best for your build?

Use the table to compare each deck's role before committing Cyberware Capacity. These are Update 2.1 reference configurations; bonuses vary with tier, and later updates can change their values. Check the cyberdeck card on your installed version before buying.

CyberdeckCyberware CapacityRAMQuickhack slotsBest for
Tetratronic Rippler Mk.516138Combat quickhack queues and weapon damage
Arasaka Shadow Mk.51498Covert quickhacks and stealth takedowns
NetWatch Netdriver Mk.125138Camera hacking and device control

Biotech Σ Mk.41698Damage-over-time quickhacks and Monowire
Raven Microcyber Mk.32098Spreading quickhacks across groups
Militech Canto Mk.633104Blackwall Gateway

The Canto's Mk.6 designation doesn't make it the automatic winner. You're spending 33 Capacity for 4 quickhack slots and access to Blackwall Gateway. The Rippler offers 8 slots at 16 Capacity, making it the more flexible default.

Why is Tetratronic Rippler the best default?

The Rippler rewards combining damage quickhacks with control effects. A Combat quickhack gains +40% damage when a non-Combat quickhack immediately follows it in the queue. Enemies affected by non-Combat quickhacks also take +15% weapon damage.

That gives you a reason to keep shooting instead of treating your gun as an emergency backup. You can disable an enemy's tools, improve your quickhack damage, and benefit when you fire at the affected target.

How should you order Rippler quickhacks?

The order is Combat first, non-Combat immediately after:

  1. Queue Short Circuit on your target.
  2. Immediately follow it with Weapon Glitch, Cyberware Malfunction, or Sonic Shock.
  3. Use your weapon against enemies affected by the non-Combat quickhack to benefit from the Rippler's weapon damage bonus.

Activating Overclock also automatically uploads Reboot Optics and Weapon Glitch to enemies within 8 m. That makes the Rippler useful at close range as well as for carefully arranged quickhack queues.

For the supporting loadout, use our netrunner build guide to plan your perks and cyberware around queued quickhacks and Overclock.

Which specialist cyberdeck should you choose?

Arasaka Shadow Mk.5: Best for stealth takedowns

Choose Arasaka Shadow Mk.5 if you use Covert quickhacks to support stealth takedowns. It reduces their RAM cost by 2, makes enemies take 40% longer to trace your position, and restores 5 RAM after a takedown.

Its bonuses support a specific rhythm: use quickhacks to help your approach, perform a takedown, and recover RAM. Pick the Rippler instead if your priority is increasing Combat quickhack damage.

NetWatch Netdriver Mk.1: Best for camera hacking

Choose NetWatch Netdriver Mk.1 if you prefer attacking through security systems. Quickhacks uploaded through cameras gain -20% traceability, while Combat quickhacks uploaded through devices gain +15% damage and +20% effect duration.

The Netdriver also cuts RAM costs for Device and Vehicle quickhacks by 50%. That discount applies to those categories, rather than every enemy quickhack you upload through a camera.

At 25 Capacity, the Netdriver needs more room than the Rippler. It's best for players who regularly use cameras and devices, because those actions activate its strongest advantages.

Militech Paraline Mk.5: Best for Smart weapons

Choose Militech Paraline Mk.5 if Smart weapons are a regular part of your netrunner build. Shooting an enemy with a Smart weapon while uploading a quickhack accelerates that upload, making it useful against targets that survive sustained gunfire.

Its other bonuses support both hacking and Monowire:

  • +10% quickhack damage.
  • +2% Monowire damage per used RAM unit, capped at +30%.
  • During Overclock, Smart weapons and Monowire deal bonus Electrical damage equal to 25% of normal attack damage.

The Paraline is best for a hybrid build that actively uses these weapons. If you mostly select quickhacks and rarely shoot, the Rippler's queue bonus is a better fit.

Biotech Σ Mk.4: Best for damage-over-time builds

Choose Biotech Σ Mk.4 if your damage comes from sustained quickhack effects. It adds 15% Combat quickhack duration, increases quickhack damage-over-time by 10%, and boosts Monowire damage by 25% against enemies affected by damage-over-time.

Activating Overclock resets the duration of quickhack damage-over-time effects. This is particularly useful against bosses with enough health to survive your opening attacks, because you can extend effects that are already dealing damage.

Biotech is less appealing when you want ordinary enemies dead immediately. Its bonuses reward letting damage-over-time effects work, while the Rippler rewards a damaging queue up front.

Raven Microcyber Mk.3: Best for spreading quickhacks

Choose Raven Microcyber Mk.3 when your priority is spreading quickhacks across groups. It increases spread distance by 40% and lets quickhacks spread to valid enemies without waiting for the initial upload to finish.

During Overclock, any quickhack also gains a 15% chance to spread to 2 nearby enemies. Raven is a natural fit for Contagion, but that Overclock spread remains a chance, not a guaranteed extra hit on every upload.

How do you get the best cyberdeck?

For the standard endgame decks, reach character level 40 and visit any ripperdoc. The Rippler, Raven, Arasaka, NetWatch, Biotech, and Paraline options are available through ripperdocs rather than a unique quest reward.

To put your choice to work:

  1. Visit a ripperdoc and compare cyberdecks in the Operating System category.
  2. Have the ripperdoc install your chosen cyberdeck.
  3. Equip your quickhacks, then scan an enemy or device to select an upload.

Plan Capacity alongside the rest of your build. The Rippler needs 16, while the Netdriver needs 25, so the deck itself changes how much room your other implants have. Our attribute and perk planning guide can help you organize the wider netrunner setup.

How do you get Militech Canto Mk.6?

The Militech Canto Mk.6 is the exception to the ripperdoc shopping route. You can obtain its Crafting Spec during Somewhat Damaged, a main mission in Phantom Liberty.

Its reason to exist is Blackwall Gateway, a spreading quickhack that can kill up to 3 enemies within 20 m. Robots, drones, and turrets are deactivated instead.

Canto Blackwall Gateway selection

Choose the Canto if Blackwall Gateway is the feature you want to build around. Skip it if you prefer the Rippler's broader quickhack loadout: the Canto uses 33 Capacity and provides 4 quickhack slots, compared with the Rippler's 16 Capacity and 8 slots.

Common mistakes

  • Reversing the Rippler queue. Its +40% bonus requires the Combat quickhack to be immediately followed by a non-Combat quickhack.
  • Treating Arasaka as trace immunity. Overclock stops quickhacks from adding trace progress, but they can still start a trace.
  • Applying NetWatch's discount to every hack. The 50% RAM reduction is for Device and Vehicle quickhacks.
  • Buying by Mk. number alone. Canto Mk.6 trades Capacity and quickhack slots for Blackwall Gateway. Match that trade to your build.

Pro tips

With Biotech Σ, time Overclock while your damage-over-time quickhacks are still active so its duration reset benefits effects already on the target. That's the mechanic that makes it worth considering for longer boss fights.

With Militech Paraline, keep firing your Smart weapon at the enemy receiving your quickhack. The upload-speed benefit rewards combining those actions, rather than waiting for the hack to finish before shooting.

Frequently asked questions

Is Tetratronic Rippler better than Raven Microcyber?

The Rippler is the better default for mixed hacking and shooting because of its +40% queued Combat quickhack damage and +15% weapon damage bonuses. Raven is the specialist choice when quickhack spread matters more than those damage bonuses.

Which cyberdeck is best for Monowire?

Choose Biotech Σ Mk.4 if you apply damage-over-time effects before attacking with Monowire. Choose Militech Paraline Mk.5 if you also use Smart weapons and want both weapon types to gain bonus Electrical damage during Overclock.

Do you need Phantom Liberty for Militech Canto Mk.6?

Yes. Its Crafting Spec is obtained during Somewhat Damaged, a Phantom Liberty main mission, rather than through the standard ripperdoc purchase route.
