A couple of things worth knowing:
- Kristoff's stall sometimes stocks Hardwood, so check it before spending time running biomes.
- Clearing Tree Stumps occasionally drops Hardwood as a bonus.
Run multiple biomes in a single loop rather than waiting for one area to respawn. Hitting Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust back-to-back tends to get you to 99 faster than camping one zone.
How to farm 99 Softwood fast
Softwood follows the same ground-forage mechanic but spawns in different biomes. The Plaza and Peaceful Meadow are the most accessible early-game spots. Forest of Valor and Glade of Trust also produce Softwood, so you can gather both wood types in the same run through those areas.
If you have the A Rift in Time expansion, Softwood also spawns in The Docks, The Courtyard, The Overlook, and The Ruins. Check Kristoff's stall for Softwood too, and keep an eye out when clearing Tree Stumps.
