Mysidia is one of the more frustrating objectives in FINAL FANTASY RESONANCE precisely because the game gives you a tool to find it without telling you where to actually start looking. You get the radar, Lid starts making vague comments, and suddenly the entire world map feels enormous. Here is exactly where to go and what to expect.

How to get the Mysidia Radar

At the very start of Chapter 5, "Scars of Time," head inside the airship interior. Shera, Evan, and Lid will brief the party on a radar system they have installed on the ship, specifically designed to detect the magical concealment hiding Mysidia. This radar is your only tool for locating the city, so the conversation triggers its availability automatically. You do not need to search for it separately.

Once the scene ends, you can activate the radar while flying over the world map. Pressing the right trigger sends out a ping, and Lid will respond with comments that tell you whether you are picking up a signal.

Where exactly is Mysidia?

The hidden city sits in the ocean south of the Kingdom of Pharm, which occupies the western portion of the main continent. The precise spot is between the southern tip of that main island and the two small islets located to the east. If you are looking at the world map, find the L-shaped landmass to the south and then position yourself in the sea channel between the main island's southern coast and those two smaller islands.

Head south from the Kingdom of Pharm and slightly east once you clear the landmass. That stretch of ocean is where Mysidia is hiding.

How to read Lid's radar dialogue

Lid's comments change depending on how close you are to Mysidia. Knowing what each response means saves a lot of aimless flying.

  • No signal or generic comments: You are too far away. Move south.
  • "Hang on... It's faint, but I'm getting a reading" or "Got something! It's still far, though.": You are in the right general area. Keep flying in the same direction.
  • Cardinal direction callouts such as "The radar just did a backflip! It's to the west!" or "We're close! Maybe a bit to the north!": You are very close. Follow the direction she names precisely.
  • Once you reach the exact spot and ping, a cutscene triggers automatically showing Mysidia dropping its camouflage.

Step-by-step: finding Mysidia fast

  1. Board the airship and complete the Chapter 5 opening scene to receive the Mysidia Radar.
  2. Fly to the Kingdom of Pharm on the western side of the main continent.
  3. Head south past the continent's lower coast.
  4. Move slightly east toward the two small islets visible on the map.
  5. Begin pinging continuously. Wait for Lid to say she is picking up a faint reading.
  6. Adjust direction based on her cardinal hints until she gives a strong signal.
  7. Ping the exact location to trigger the discovery cutscene.

What to do once you reach Mysidia

Mysidia is not just a story checkpoint. The city has its own shops and several side quests, and Chapter 5 is the point where the game's difficulty noticeably increases. Enemies start punishing parties that have been coasting on whatever gear they picked up in earlier chapters.

Two systems become especially important from here on. The stagger mechanic rewards consistent elemental pressure: a staggered enemy cannot act and takes a full party combo without retaliating, even if it has a counter ability. The Vision system, where you attach spiritual representations of classic Final Fantasy characters to your party members, also starts mattering more for elemental coverage. Pairing the right Vision to the right character for a specific enemy type is the difference between a clean fight and a long grind.

Spend time in Mysidia before pushing the main story forward. Clear the side quests, check the shop, and look at your builds before the game stops being forgiving.
