Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2 Guide: All Chaos Cubes Locations

The Dark Voyager is up to something on the Fortnite island, and Epic Games wants you to track down every clue he's left behind. That means hunting down Chaos Cubes, small glowing orange collectibles scattered across the map in Fortnite Chapter 7, Season 2. With 70 total cubes spread across eight named POIs and a massive 80,000 XP reward waiting at the end, this is one of the most rewarding seasonal quests available right now.

What Are Chaos Cubes in Fortnite?

Chaos Cubes are small, orange, floating, glowing cubes tied directly to the Dark Voyager storyline in Chapter 7, Season 2. According to the in-game quest framing, these cubes are remnants the Dark Voyager leaves behind as he moves around the island. They serve as both a lore device and a collectible scavenger hunt, rewarding XP for each one you pick up and a large bonus once you hit the total.

How Many Chaos Cubes Are There?

There are 70 Chaos Cubes in total for Chapter 7, Season 2. They are not all available from day one. Epic Games releases new batches throughout the season, so you may return to this quest multiple times as additional cubes become available. The quest page itself confirms that more spawn locations will be added over time.

Here is a quick breakdown of the reward structure:

How to Spot and Collect Chaos Cubes

Finding Chaos Cubes is easier once you know what to look for. The game gives you a built-in proximity indicator to help, but it is subtle enough that many players miss it entirely.

Collection Process

  • Land at a confirmed Chaos Cube POI. Only the eight named locations listed below contain cubes, so heading anywhere else is wasted time.
  • Watch for the exclamation point icon. When you move within range of a Chaos Cube, a small exclamation point icon appears on your screen. Critically, this icon renders through walls, floors, and structures, so you can detect cubes inside buildings without entering them first.
  • Follow the directional glow. The glowing effect around the cube acts as a directional arrow, shifting as you move closer. Use this alongside the exclamation point to zero in on the exact position.
  • Press the Collect prompt. Walk up to the cube and press the button shown next to the Collect prompt on screen. The button varies by platform but is always clearly labeled.
  • Sweep the entire area. Each POI contains five cubes, so stay in the location until you have grabbed all five before moving on.

All Chaos Cube Locations in Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2

Currently, eight named POIs on the Chapter 7, Season 2 map each hold exactly five Chaos Cubes, for a running total of 40 confirmed cubes at the time of writing. Additional locations are expected as the season progresses toward the full 70-cube count.

Current POI Locations

All eight locations are main named POIs shown on the standard Fortnite map, so you will not need any special tools to find the areas themselves. The challenge is locating each cube within those areas.

Where Exactly Do Cubes Spawn Within a POI?

Cubes do not follow a fixed pattern within each location. They can appear:

  • Inside buildings and structures
  • Underground or in lower-level areas
  • On rooftops or elevated platforms
  • In open outdoor spaces near the POI boundary

The exclamation point icon is your best tool here. Move in a slow, methodical sweep through the entire POI rather than rushing, since the icon range is limited and you can easily walk past a cube tucked behind a wall.

Tips for Efficient Chaos Cube Farming

  • Combine with other quests. Several other Chapter 7, Season 2 missions take place at the same POIs. Running both quest types simultaneously saves landing time.
  • Play in low-traffic lobbies. Chaos Cubes are personal collectibles and do not compete with other players, but landing at busy POIs still puts you at risk. Consider dropping during quieter phases of the match.
  • Track your count in the quest menu. The quest log shows your running total, so you always know how many cubes remain at each location before moving on.
  • Return after each major update. New cube batches drop with content patches, so checking the quest page after every update is the fastest way to stay current.
