Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 Guide: Where to Find Sprite Chests

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 3 turned Sprite collecting into one of the most competitive loops on the island. Every Sprite you carry into a match gives you a combat buff, and losing it on elimination means handing that advantage straight to the player who downed you. The fastest way to build your collection is through Sprite Chests, a dedicated container type that guarantees a Sprite on every open. There are 33 of them scattered across the map, and knowing exactly where each one sits puts you ahead before the first storm circle closes.

What are Sprite Chests and how do they work?

Sprite Chests are a new container type introduced in Chapter 7 Season 3. Visually, they stand out immediately: ancient-looking chests with a blue glow and a pink crystal on top. The audio cue when you get close resembles the old Vault Chests from Chapter 2, so your ears will tip you off before your eyes do.

Every Sprite Chest drops two things: a guaranteed Sprite and a standard loot item. They are rarer than normal loot chests and relic chests (the blue rare variants), but their fixed spawn points make them completely predictable once you memorize the list below.

tip
Sprite Chests also appear inside Vaults on the Chapter 7 Season 3 map, so clearing a Vault run can net you additional Sprites beyond the fixed spawns listed here.

Where are the highest-density Sprite Chest clusters?

Sinister Strip is the single best POI for Sprite farming with 4 chests in one location. The trade-off is that other players know this too, so expect contested landings. Wonkeeland, Calamari Canyon, Heatwave Harbor, and Shaken Sanctuary each hold 3 chests, making any of them a strong secondary option if Sinister Strip is too hot.

For a quieter run, Frosted Flats and Lifty Lodge each have 2 chests and tend to draw lighter traffic. Pairing one of those with the nearby area spawns (north of Frosted Flats sits just one chest away) can get you 3 Sprites with minimal fighting.

warning
The Zero Point landmark at the center of the map has 1 Sprite Chest, but its central position means you will almost always encounter other players rotating through. Only commit to it if you already have solid weapons.

How to plan an efficient Sprite Chest farming route

Rather than chasing individual chests, plan a drop path that chains multiple high-density POIs together. A few routes worth testing:

  • West cluster: Lifty Lodge (2) into Wonkeeland (3) then sweep south of Wonkeeland (1) for a potential 6-chest run
  • East cluster: Shaken Sanctuary (3) plus Collider Corridor Alpha (1) nearby, then rotate toward Cluster Coast (1) and Crashout Estates (1)
  • South loop: Calamari Canyon (3) combined with the south of Calamari Canyon area (2) gives 5 chests in a compact zone

The bus path each match will influence which route is realistic, so keep two or three options in mind before you jump.

tip
Sprite Chests are not the only way to collect Sprites in Chapter 7 Season 3. Check out the guide on how to catch the Fishy Sprite for an alternative collection method that does not require competing for chest spawns.

What do you get from opening a Sprite Chest?

Every Sprite Chest drops exactly two items:

  1. A Sprite (the primary reward, guaranteed)
  2. A loot item (standard quality, similar to a regular chest drop)

The Sprite you receive is not necessarily determined by the chest's location, so opening multiple chests in one run increases your chances of pulling different Sprite types. If you are chasing a specific rare Sprite, volume is your best strategy.

tip
After opening a Sprite Chest, the Sprite you receive provides a buff that stays active for the rest of that match, but you lose it if another player eliminates you. Prioritize survival once you have a Sprite equipped.

Are there other secrets worth finding on the Chapter 7 Season 3 map?

Sprite Chests are one piece of a larger puzzle. The Chapter 7 map has a lot of hidden content beyond standard loot routes, including hidden secrets and easter egg locations that most players walk right past. Knowing those spots can give you an edge even on matches where the Sprite Chests are already looted.
