Treasure Hour in Fortnite runs Saturday, November 7, 2026, from 2 PM to 4 PM ET and 9 PM to 11 PM ET.

These limited-time sessions replace the Power Hours from Chapter 7 Season 4 Override during the Treasure Hunters mini-season. The opening event is called Fortune Treasure Hours, and each session lasts two hours despite the name. Choose your session by local time, especially outside the Americas, where one or both windows fall on Sunday.

For London and Paris, the first session is the Saturday-evening option. In Sydney and Melbourne, the second session avoids the early-morning start of the first window.

Choose whichever window fits your schedule. Both are Fortune Treasure Hours, with the same announced bonuses.

What changes during Fortune Treasure Hours?

The Fortnite Treasure Hunters mini-season pairs Saturday Treasure Hours with Sunday Captain's Days, which introduce new weekly content. Fortune Treasure Hours focus on Fortune Sprite drops, starting equipment, and an extra chest drop.

Increased Fortune Sprite drops

The event increases the drop rate of Fortune Sprites. These variants periodically send out a radar-like pulse that highlights nearby chests.

Use those highlights to choose your next search target. When several containers appear, plan a sequence through them instead of wandering between search areas.

Shock Rocket and Self-Revive starting items

Every player starts each match during the event with a Shock Rocket and a Self-Revive. You do not need to find either item in a chest first.

Plan for rockets in early fights, including from opponents who have not looted yet. Landing beside an unopened chest does not mean nearby enemies are waiting to find a weapon.

Does Treasure Hour increase Pirate Shop Access Token drops?

Treat the Fortune Sprite bonus as chest detection. Its pulse helps you locate containers to search, but it does not establish a higher token drop chance. The practical reason to join a token hunt during this event is access to more Fortune Sprites that can help with navigation.

Play with a squad if the token is your priority: squad members share a Pirate Shop Access Token when one member finds it. Coordinate your chest searches so everyone knows which containers have already been opened.

How to plan your Treasure Hour session

Prepare your route and squad

Use the Fortnite Pirate Treasure Chest locations guide to choose a route before the event begins. Aim for several chest searches in sequence, so you spend the session opening containers instead of deciding where to go next.

Set a reminder with both the local start time and date from the schedule. If you are joining friends in another region, confirm that everyone has chosen the same session.

Keep your goal specific. A chest-hunting session calls for a planned search route; trying the starting equipment calls for being ready to use it immediately after dropping into a match.

Follow a chest-search loop

Use this sequence once your match begins:

  1. Check your inventory and locate your starting items before your first fight.
  2. Find a Fortune Sprite and use its pulses to identify nearby chests.
  3. Search the highlighted containers, then continue toward your next planned stop.
  4. Look for Portable Extractors among the chest drops while you continue searching.

Portable Extractors also drop from Chests during Fortune Treasure Hours. They are an additional chest reward for the event, separate from the guaranteed starting equipment.

To compare your progress across sessions, use the Fortnite total chests opened guide. Record your count before playing and check it again when you finish.
