Find the first Map Fragment in Fortnite on the lowest level of The $.$. Rocky, then collect the remaining pieces as they unlock. Treasure Hunters has six fragments, with new pickups arriving throughout the Chapter 7 mini-season. As of November 4, 2026, only A$AP Rocky's fragment is available, so getting that piece is your immediate goal. Each pickup awards 10,000 XP, and completing the collection unlocks a free loading screen. The trick is reaching the correct ship level now and keeping track of the later releases.
Where is the first Map Fragment in Fortnite?
A$AP Rocky's Map Fragment is inside The $.$. Rocky, down on the ship's lowest level. Look for a glowing map piece on the floor near the hull, beside some canisters. The storage room also contains a large robotic arm and a box holding a green substance, which gives you recognizable landmarks once you're below deck.

First fragment destination
As you approach The $.$. Rocky, watch for the diamond-shaped exclamation marker on your screen. It points toward the collectible and helps you narrow the search once you're close to the ship.
How do you reach the fragment room?
Use this route to reach the pickup:
- Head to The $.$. Rocky.
- Enter through the main room around the center of the ship, then work down toward the lowest level.
- Follow the diamond-shaped exclamation marker toward the storage area.
- Find the canisters near the hull and look for the glowing fragment on the floor beside them.
- Interact with the fragment to collect it.
The important detail is the lowest level. Searching the upper decks keeps you above the pickup, even when you're already at the right POI.
Can you break into the ship instead?
Yes. You can break through the ship's exterior walls to enter the lower area, or break down through decks to reach the fragment's level. Those routes are useful if you cannot find the stairs. The main room provides another way inside without requiring you to find an opening in the hull.
The $.$. Rocky attracts other players collecting the same fragment. Stay alert while entering the ship and moving through its lower rooms, especially when you're focused on following the marker.
How do you collect and track Map Fragments?
Each of the six Map Fragments has a specific pickup location. Visit that location after its unlock date and interact with the fragment to collect it. The first piece became available on November 1, and later pieces arrive as new parts of the mini-season's adventure open.
To check the collection, open the Treasure tab on the home page and select Adventure. This section shows which part of the Map Fragment hunt is live, making it the place to check before searching for another piece.
The Adventure section is especially useful as the season progresses because fragment releases line up with new adventure sections and the arrival of additional characters. Check it alongside the unlock schedule below before choosing your next destination.
For another location-by-location collectible walkthrough, the Fortnite Foundation helmet and cape guide covers that separate Chapter 7 Season 2 hunt.
When do all six Map Fragments unlock?
The Map Fragment schedule runs through December 5, 2026. The table separates the currently available pickup from upcoming releases, including the broader destinations identified for several later pieces.
| Fragment | Unlock date | Captain | Destination | Pickup details |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| First | November 1 | A$AP Rocky | The $.$. Rocky | Available on the lowest ship level, beside canisters near the hull |
| Second | November 7 | Lil Uzi Vert | Lil' Uzi's Stronghold | Exact pickup point not yet revealed |
| Third | November 14 | Hatsune Miku | Rubber Resort | Exact pickup point not yet revealed |
| Fourth | November 21 | Oscar | Oscar's Ship | Exact pickup point not yet revealed |
| Fifth | November 28 | Buccaneer Brigand Jones | Not yet revealed | Exact pickup point not yet revealed |
| Sixth | December 5 | Not yet revealed | Not yet revealed | Exact pickup point not yet revealed |
A destination such as Rubber Resort gives you the broad search area for its scheduled release. The exact room or position still needs to be revealed for the later fragments. For now, The $.$. Rocky is the only fragment destination with a complete pickup route.
These are scheduled releases, so check Treasure and Adventure as updates arrive. Collecting each new fragment when it becomes available keeps the remaining hunt manageable instead of leaving several locations for the end of the mini-season.
While you're waiting between releases, the Fortnite Wayfinder Sprite guide covers a separate treasure-focused collectible, including extraction, leveling, and buried chest bonuses.
What do you get for collecting Map Fragments?
Every Map Fragment awards 10,000 XP. Collecting all six also automatically unlocks the X Marks the Zero Point Sliver loading screen. The loading screen is free, and you do not need the Treasure Hunters Battle Pass to earn it.
The XP gives you a reward for each individual pickup, while the loading screen requires the complete six-piece collection. Getting Rocky's fragment now starts that progress, but the final cosmetic remains tied to collecting the later releases.
What should you do between fragment releases?
After collecting Rocky's fragment, you can turn to other Treasure Hunters activities while waiting for November 7. Opening Treasure Chests can produce the Pirate Shop Access Token, giving you another treasure-hunting objective between fragment releases.
If you want to plan that search, use the Fortnite Pirate Treasure Chest locations guide to compare chest locations and choose a route. Treasure Hunters also has Sprite Wanted Posters that lead to buried Sprite Chests, plus the Frog Statue puzzle.
For the Map Fragment collection, keep the next step simple: collect the glowing piece beside the canisters on The $.$. Rocky's lowest level, check Treasure > Adventure, and return for the next release on November 7.
