Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 Guide: How to Unlock Every Wrixel Skin Styles

Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 introduced Wrixel, a block-inspired skin that Epic Games packed with an absurd number of customization options. Beyond the two variants included in the Battle Pass itself, there are 15 additional styles to unlock through in-game activities, ranging from entering cheat codes at specific map locations to collecting scattered parts and talking to NPCs. The combinations stack up fast, giving you thousands of ways to make the skin your own.

What do you need before unlocking Wrixel styles?

Before hunting down any of these styles, you need two things: the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass and at least Level 10 to unlock the base Wrixel skin. Without the skin in your locker, none of the unlock conditions will register. Once you hit that threshold, every method below becomes available.

important
You must own the Chapter 7 Season 4 Battle Pass. Styles cannot be unlocked without first obtaining the base Wrixel skin at Level 10.

All 15 Wrixel styles and how to unlock them

The 15 styles break down into four distinct unlock categories: Lobby Hacks, Sprite Dust purchases, Power Ups, Console Overrides, Cheat Codes at named map locations, Part collection at specific POIs, and NPC conversations. Ziggy is the most time-intensive, requiring you to complete story quests as the season progresses.

How do cheat codes work for Wrixel styles?

Four styles unlock through Cheat Codes entered at specific named locations on the map. Each code is tied to a particular character and a particular POI, so you cannot enter them anywhere you like.

  • Lynx requires her code at Heatwave Harbor
  • Aerial Assault requires her code at Shaken Sanctuary
  • Aura and Ghoul Trooper both require their codes at The Battlewoods

The Battlewoods is clearly a busy location this season, also hosting the Ruby parts collection and the Aura/Ghoul Trooper codes simultaneously. Landing there early and working through multiple objectives in one drop is the most efficient approach.

tip
The Battlewoods covers three separate Wrixel unlock conditions (Aura, Ghoul Trooper, and Ruby parts). Prioritize this POI early in a session to knock out multiple styles at once.

How do you collect Wrixel parts?

Four styles require you to collect scattered Wrixel parts at specific POIs rather than entering codes. Each set of parts corresponds to one character's style:

  • Drift's parts are at Green Hill Zone
  • Luxe's parts are at Cluster Coast
  • Ruby's parts are at The Battlewoods
  • Skull Ranger's parts are at Mega Maze

These are spread across four different areas of the map, so plan your routing accordingly. If you want to clear multiple part collections in a single session, drop central and rotate outward based on the storm circle.

How do you unlock the Jones and Hope styles?

Two styles have the simplest unlock conditions on the list: find Jones and Hope as NPCs on the map and ask each of them about their Wrixel Outfit. The conversation triggers the unlock directly, no quests or items required. These are worth grabbing early in the season since NPC interactions take almost no time compared to the Sprite Dust grind or story quests.

tip
The Jones and Hope styles are among the fastest to unlock. Seek out both NPCs as early as possible and clear them before focusing on the more demanding unlocks like Peely or Ziggy.

What is the hardest Wrixel style to unlock?

Ziggy is the most demanding style by a significant margin. Unlike every other unlock on this list, Ziggy requires you to complete a series of story quests that roll out progressively as Chapter 7 Season 4 continues. You cannot rush this one. The quests gate behind the season's narrative pacing, which means Ziggy will likely be one of the last styles most players complete.

For context on how Fortnite handles its ongoing quest structure this season, the John Wick Contracts guide covers a similar quest-based unlock system worth understanding before you start.

How to customize Wrixel once styles are unlocked

Once you have styles in your collection, open the Wrixel skin in your locker and select the Styles option. You can also access this directly from the Battle Pass screen. The system lets you mix and match individual style components freely, meaning you are not locked into wearing a full Cuddle Team Leader look or a full Drift look. Swap heads, bodies, and accessories from different styles to create a combination that is entirely your own.

With 15 additional styles on top of the two Battle Pass variants, the number of possible combinations runs into the thousands. For players who also want to build out their cosmetic collection beyond Wrixel, the guide on how to extract Sprites is directly relevant since Sprite Dust is required to purchase or upgrade the 8 Loot Hacks needed for the Peely style.
