Fortnite's annual Star Wars celebration is back, and this year Epic Games built out three dedicated Creative maps with their own quest lines, all feeding into a single reward track called Unleash the Force. Complete enough quests across these modes and you'll walk away with five free cosmetics, no V-Bucks required. The event runs through approximately the start of June 2026, so you have a solid window to knock everything out at your own pace.
What are the Unleash the Force quests?
Unleash the Force quests are tied to three Epic-made Creative maps added specifically for the 2026 Star Wars event: Galactic Siege, Escape Vader, and Droid Tycoon. Each map has 4 quests, giving you 12 quests total across those three modes. A fourth category, Star Wars: Islands, adds one more quest for earning XP on community-made Star Wars maps, bringing the total to 13 quests available by the end of May.
Every individual quest rewards 10,000 XP. The free cosmetics, though, come from the cumulative milestone track, not from any single quest. You need to complete 3, 6, 9, 12, and 15 quests respectively to unlock each reward tier.
Not all quests are live at once. According to the published schedule, the first quest in each map series is available now, with additional tasks unlocking on May 8, May 15, and May 22. That staggered rollout means you can't rush through all 12 Creative-mode quests in one sitting, but you also won't fall behind if you miss a week.

Unleash the Force reward track
You only need 15 total quests to claim every reward, but there are more than 15 available by the end of the event. Pick the modes you enjoy most and don't stress about doing every single task.
All Galactic Siege quests
Galactic Siege is a team-based capture mode. The quests here focus on playing the objective rather than racking up kills.
For the Capture Points quest, Destructoid notes that only points you personally claim count toward the total. Points grabbed by teammates do not contribute, so stay on the objective yourself rather than letting your squad handle it.

All Escape Vader quests
Escape Vader is a survival-style mode where you're running from Darth Vader while completing objectives. The quests here reward persistence through multiple rounds.
The Power Cells quest is forgiving: both your deliveries and your teammates' deliveries count toward the 12 total, per Destructoid's breakdown. That makes this one of the faster quests to finish if you're playing with a full group.
The "Successfully Escape Vader Twice" quest requires you to actually complete the escape sequence, not just survive a round. Focus on the escape objectives when Vader is closing in rather than trying to fight him.
All Droid Tycoon quests
Droid Tycoon is a builder-style mode where you grow a droid operation. The quests scale with your progression through the mode's systems.
The Rebirth Station quest requires you to build up your Tycoon to a certain point before the station even becomes accessible. There's no shortcut here: just focus on progressing through the mode's standard features and the station will unlock naturally.

Star Wars: Islands quest
There's one additional quest outside the three main Creative modes. Playing on community-made Star Wars maps (not Epic's official ones) and earning 80,000 XP counts as a completed Unleash the Force quest. This is a useful fallback if you're one quest short of a milestone and don't want to replay a mode you've already finished.
The Islands quest counts XP earned across multiple sessions, so you don't need to hit 80,000 XP in a single sitting. Just keep playing Star Wars community maps and it'll tick over eventually.
What are all the free rewards?
There are 5 free cosmetics tied to the Unleash the Force milestone track. Here's the full breakdown:
The Shock Trooper Electrostaff Pickaxe at 15 quests is the standout item here. This is a limited-time free cosmetic that won't be available after the event closes, which is expected around the start of June 2026 when Season 2 ends. The Sith Holocron Back Bling at 12 quests is also a strong pickup for anyone building a dark side loadout.
With 13 total quests confirmed across all four categories by late May, you'll need to complete nearly all of them to hit 15. Don't skip the Islands quest or the later weekly unlocks if you want the Electrostaff.
How long does the event last?
Based on the published schedule, the final weekly quests unlock on May 22 and the event is expected to wrap up at the start of June 2026, coinciding with the end of Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 2. That gives you a few weeks after the last quest unlocks to finish anything you've missed.
