Heartopia has rolled out the Modular Streets festival, and like the Fashionwave events before it, this one packs in a solid amount of new content. There are 5 exclusive fish to catch, 4 festival insects to track down, and a batch of new cooking recipes built around the Brick theme. This guide covers every location, ingredient list, and unlock step so you can make the most of the event before it ends.
How do you unlock the Modular Streets Festival?
Before any of the new fish, bugs, or recipes become available, you need to officially unlock the festival. The process is straightforward: complete a Modular Streets Festival quest, collect a popular hobby collectible, and then speak to Azure.
The fastest way to handle this is by heading to the Forest and catching any Damselfly. They are easy to spot if you look around the area. Once you have one, interact with Azure and the festival opens up. That single step gates everything else, so do it first before spending time hunting Brick Clownfish or cooking festival recipes.

The festival adds three core recipes, plus a combo set that requires all three. Each core recipe also has fruit or mushroom variants depending on what you have available.

The Brick Fun Combo Set is worth noting because it requires one of each completed dish rather than raw ingredients. Cook all three base recipes first, then combine them.
The Fruit Verbena Pie accepts any fruit, so use whatever you have in stock. Apple, Mandarin, Blueberry, Raspberry, Strawberry, Grape, and Pineapple all work as valid substitutes.

All variants share the same base: Butter (1), Eggs (1), and Lemon Verbena (1). The only variable is the fruit.
Brick Bowl Fruit Shaved Ice variants
Each version uses Condensed Milk (1) and Brick Ice (1), with 2 units of the chosen fruit.
Brick Mushroom Patty Burger variants
All burger variants use Wheat (1) and Brick Meat Patty (1), with 2 units of the chosen mushroom.
Black Truffle is one of the harder mushrooms to source in Heartopia. If you are working through the burger variants in order, save the Black Truffle Patty Burger for last while you track down that ingredient.

Where to catch all Modular Streets fish
The festival adds 5 exclusive Brick Clownfish. Four of them spawn in the East Sea (Forest) at any time and in any weather, which makes them some of the more accessible festival fish in the game. The fifth, the Colorful Brick Clownfish, only appears during the dedicated Brick Fish Event.
The four standard Clownfish are available whenever you visit the East Sea in the Forest zone, so you can knock them out in a single fishing session. The Colorful variant requires waiting for the Brick Fish Event to go live. Keep an eye on your in-game event schedule so you do not miss the window.
All five Brick Clownfish can be caught regardless of weather or time of day, which is a welcome change from some of the more restrictive fish in Heartopia. No need to wait for rain or a specific hour.

Where to find all Modular Streets insects
The festival also introduces 5 Brick Damselfly variants. Like the fish, four have fixed spawn locations across the world while the fifth is locked to a special event.
Each standard Damselfly spawns at a distinct location, so catching all four means traveling across the map. The Jump Puzzle location for the Pink variant is worth flagging: the area itself can be tricky to navigate if you are not familiar with it. Take your time rather than rushing through, since some insects in Heartopia will flee if you move too fast toward them.
For the Colorful Brick Large Red Damselfly, the same logic applies as with the Colorful Clownfish: you need the Brick Insect Event to be active. Check your event tracker and plan accordingly.

Tips for completing the festival efficiently
After testing the unlock flow and working through the recipe list, a few things stand out as time-savers:
- Unlock the festival via Azure before doing anything else. None of the new content is accessible until that step is done.
- Fish at the East Sea first. Four of the five Clownfish are always available there, so you can clear most of the fish list in one trip.
- Stock up on Condensed Milk and Brick Ice before cooking. The Shaved Ice variants require both, and running out mid-session breaks your cooking momentum.
- Visit each Damselfly location separately rather than trying to plan a loop. The spawn points are spread across the map, and each location type is distinct enough that a linear route is faster.
- Track the Brick Fish Event and Brick Insect Event on your in-game calendar. Both Colorful variants are event-locked and will not appear outside those windows.
