Elation Trailblazer is one of the rare free units in Honkai: Star Rail that arrives fully maxable without touching the gacha system. All 6 Eidolons are available during version 4.2 through story completion, a regional shop, and automatic conversion of items you may already have sitting in your inventory. No pulls required, no limited-time banners to stress over.
Where do all Shadow of Elation copies come from?
The 6 Eidolons split across three distinct sources. One comes from the current story, two were distributed in advance as Heromorpher Wishes during versions 4.0 and 4.1, and three sit behind a progression gate in Planarcadia. Here's the full breakdown:
If you cleared 4.0 and 4.1 when they launched, those Heromorpher Wishes are already in your inventory. You don't need to manually do anything with them. Finishing "So Laughed the Masses" triggers the conversion automatically, and both Shadows of Elation drop directly onto the character.
If you played through versions 4.0 and 4.1, check your inventory before starting 4.2. The Heromorpher Wishes confirm those two Eidolons are already locked in once you finish the story mission.

How to reach Planarcadia level 26 for the shop copies
Three of the six Shadows of Elation are locked behind Furbobo Freebies, a redemption tab inside Furbobocom in Planarcadia. All three only become claimable once your Planarcadia exploration level hits 26. The level rises by submitting Arcadian Tokens, the regional currency earned from map activities across the zone.
Step 1: Explore Planarcadia and gather Arcadian Tokens. Combat events, puzzles, and chests are the fastest sources while you're still uncovering the map, according to the allthings.how breakdown of the system.
Step 2: Submit those tokens at the Planarcadia progression interface to push your exploration level upward. Level 26 is the specific threshold that unlocks all three Shadow of Elation entries in the shop.
Step 3: Open Furbobocom, navigate to the Furbobo Freebies tab, and claim all three Shadow of Elation entries. They apply directly to Elation Trailblazer's Eidolon slots.
Level 26 in Planarcadia is a hard gate. There's no shortcut around it. If your Arcadian Token count is low, focus on unopened map regions and incomplete Planarcadia events first.
One quirk worth knowing: the Furbobo Freebies UI refreshes per claim rather than all at once. If you hit level 26 and the entries still appear locked, claim one reward and reopen the shop.
What does each Eidolon actually do?
E3 and E5 only raise ability level caps, so the combat-relevant changes come from E1, E2, E4, and E6. Here's what each rank adds to the kit, based on data from both allthings.how and Sportskeeda's coverage of version 4.2:

Which Eidolons are actually worth having?
E4 (Save the World. Just Because.) is the standout. The 10% damage-taken debuff it applies to enemies refreshes every time the Elation Skill triggers, meaning any Elation damage dealer in your party benefits directly and consistently. Characters like Silver Wolf Lv. 999, Yao Guang, and Sparxie all pick up free damage from this without any extra setup, according to Sportskeeda's ranking of the Eidolons.
E6 (The Cosmic Legend Cometh!) looks impressive on paper with its +100% CRIT DMG bonus, but Sportskeeda notes that other Elation characters' skills already deal more damage without additional buffs, which softens the headline number somewhat. Still a solid upgrade for the Elation Skill specifically.
E2 (History in the Making) has a real limitation: the 12% Elation boost only lasts 2 turns, and Elation characters tend to have higher Energy costs than average. Getting Trailblazer's Ultimate back before that buff expires is genuinely difficult in practice.
E1 (Believe In the Light) is the most roster-dependent of the group. The Certified Banger stacks only matter if your teammates can actually convert them into output, which narrows its value depending on who you're running.
E6 is tied to completing the main story arc. Stopping short of the full 4.2 conclusion means E6 won't appear even if you've finished every other objective in the patch.
What to do if Eidolons aren't showing up
The most common issue is an incomplete 4.2 Trailblaze Mission. The Heromorpher Wishes from 4.0 and 4.1 sit inert in your inventory until "So Laughed the Masses" finishes. Both older Eidolons convert during the same completion sequence as the story drop, so none of the three will appear until you push through the current chapter.
For the Furbobo Freebies copies, the only fix is more Arcadian Tokens. Unopened map regions and unfinished Planarcadia events are where the remaining tokens live. There's no alternative path to level 26.
