Season 8 Punctum is live in Limbus Company, and it is one of the most story-heavy updates Project Moon has shipped. Chapter 10 puts Meursault front and center, drawing directly from Albert Camus's The Stranger, and the season wraps around that narrative with new Identities, four EGOs, a revamped gameplay perspective, and a battle pass that unlocks in stages.
What is Chapter 10 about?
Chapter 10 picks up immediately after Chapter 9 Intervello and follows Meursault's personal story. The literary inspiration is Albert Camus's The Stranger, which means the tone is going to be existential and bleak in the best possible way. Project Moon has structured the release across three parts rather than dropping everything at once, so the story unfolds over several weeks.
New players can jump directly into Chapter 10 by clearing Canto 1 first, which is a deliberate accessibility decision from Project Moon to let people experience the new content without completing all prior chapters.
What new Identities are in Season 8?
The two debut Identities this season belong to Ryoshu and Ishmael, both under the Haute Couture banner.
Ishmael receives the Haute Couture Boutique du Rouge Identity. Based on the trailer, this is a Bleed-based ID, which fits well into the Bleed team compositions that have been viable since Season 6 IDs became accessible. If you want to understand how Bleed interacts with the rest of the status system, the Limbus Company status effects guide breaks down all seven keywords in detail.
Ryoshu gets the Haute Couture Le Noir Footwear Hall Identity. Specific kit details were not fully revealed pre-launch, but the trailer suggests a hybrid Bleed-adjacent kit.

What new EGOs arrive in Season 8?
Season 8 brings four new EGOs across different sinners and tiers:
Hong Lu receives a new ZAYIN EGO
Rodion receives a new TETH EGO
Meursault receives a new WAW EGO
Faust receives a new WAW EGO
The two WAW-tier EGOs for Meursault and Faust are the headline additions here. WAW sits at the higher end of the EGO tier structure, so these will be worth prioritizing if either sinner features in your regular rotation. For context on where these EGOs land relative to everything else, check the Limbus Company tier list once community testing settles.
tip
Season 7 IDs and EGOs lock when Season 8 begins. Season 6 IDs and EGOs unlock, so this is a good window to build out Bleed, Rupture, and Poise compositions using those older units.
How does the Season 8 battle pass work?
The Season 8 battle pass follows the same structure as previous seasons. Standard rewards include Shard Crates, Level-up and Level Boost Tickets, Threads, Extract Tickets, Lunacy, ID Uptie 4 Modules, and Enkephalin modules. The season announcer reward is Meursault himself, with two additional announcers available: G.M. Sisyphe and Jeanne.
The sinner level cap also increases from 55 to 60 this season, so expect to sink additional Luxcavation runs into leveling. The good news is that EXP scaling has been linear since Season 5, not exponential. Ten non-skip Luxcavation clears roughly match the EXP needed to fully max one Identity's level, and Project Moon has signaled that ratio is intentional going forward.

What new gameplay changes does Season 8 introduce?
The most visually distinct addition is a new top-down perspective mode. The trailer shows this as a shift away from the traditional chain-linked turn-based format toward something closer to real-time combat. The full scope of this system is not yet detailed, but it represents the most mechanical departure the game has taken in several seasons.
Mirror Dungeon 8 is still in development and was not ready for the Season 8 launch. Project Moon expects it to arrive shortly after Part 3 of the story patch on October 10. Before the new dungeon drops, claim any current Mirror Dungeon bonuses you have accumulated since they will not carry over.
