Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls Editions & Prices

Arc System Works has built a reputation for making you feel like a genius for spending more money than you planned, and Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is no exception. Three editions, a Year 1 pass, exclusive lobby cosmetics, and character costumes are all on the table. Before you click buy, here's exactly what each tier gets you and whether the price jump is actually worth it.

How much does Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls cost?

The base price for Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls is $59.99 for the Standard Edition. That's a notably more approachable price point than some 2026 releases pushing $80, and it covers everything in the base game at launch, including all 20 characters on the starting roster.

The Digital Deluxe Edition sits at $84.99, and the Ultimate Edition tops out at $99.99. There are no physical editions with bonus merchandise, so every extra you get is in-game content.

tip
All three editions are digital only. There are no physical collector's boxes or merchandise bundles confirmed for launch.

Does Marvel Tokon: Fighting Souls have pre-order bonuses?

Yes, and they're lobby-focused cosmetics rather than gameplay items. Pre-ordering any edition of the game gets you three items:

  • Infinity Gauntlet Lobby Equipment
  • Cosmic Surfboard Lobby Ride
  • Baby Groot Lobby Pet

These bonuses apply regardless of which edition you choose. So if you were already planning to buy the Standard Edition, pre-ordering costs you nothing extra and adds three cosmetics to your lobby. That's a straightforward win.

tip
Pre-order bonuses are tied to any edition, so you don't need to upgrade just to get the Infinity Gauntlet or Baby Groot.

What should you actually get?

Here's the full breakdown across all three editions:

Loading table...

The jump from Standard to Digital Deluxe is $25, and it gets you the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass plus two lobby cosmetics. That pass adds four new fighters and a stage post-launch, which is the most substantive content difference between tiers.

The jump from Digital Deluxe to Ultimate is another $15, and what you're paying for is five character costumes for Spider-Man, Storm, Iron Man, Captain America, and Doctor Doom, plus the Animated Chromatic Color Unlock. That's a purely cosmetic upgrade.

warning
The Ultimate Edition costs $99.99 but doesn't include any physical bonuses or additional gameplay content beyond what the Digital Deluxe already offers. The extra $15 is entirely cosmetic.

Which edition should you buy?

If you're on the fence about the game itself, Standard Edition at $59.99 is the right call. You get the full launch experience and all 20 base-roster characters. Check out the full roster breakdown to see who's available from day one before committing.

If you know you're going to stick with the game long-term, the Digital Deluxe Edition at $84.99 is the practical choice. The Year 1 Pass alone would likely cost more than $25 if purchased separately after launch, so buying it bundled makes financial sense for anyone who plans to keep playing.

The Ultimate Edition at $99.99 is only worth it if you specifically want those five character costumes and you're buying for Spider-Man, Storm, Iron Man, Captain America, or Doctor Doom mains. Paying $15 more for an Animated Chromatic Color Unlock and five skins is a reasonable ask if those characters are already your picks, but it's a hard sell otherwise.

tip
If you played the open beta and already know which characters you're maining, check whether any of your picks are in the Ultimate Edition's costume list. That's the fastest way to decide if the upgrade is worth it.

What does the Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass include?

The Year 1 Characters & Stage Pass adds four new playable characters and one new stage to the game after launch. It's included in both the Digital Deluxe and Ultimate editions. Specific character identities for the DLC roster haven't been detailed yet, but the pass covers the full first year of post-launch fighter additions.
