Republic Teams Up with Animoca Brands

"Our mission is to make verifiable identity work for everyone, everywhere," said Kenneth Shek, managing director of Moca Network, announcing a new strategic partnership that puts Animoca Brands' digital identity ambitions squarely in the global spotlight.

Animoca Brands has added another industry recognition to its shelf, earning a spot on the Top 50 blockchain Game Companies 2025 list. The Hong Kong-based firm now sits alongside Fortune Crypto 40, Financial Times High Growth Companies Asia-Pacific, and Deloitte Tech Fast as part of a growing list of acknowledgments that signal just how far the company has come since pivoting hard into web3 gaming and digital assets.

The Moca Network deal that puts Türkiye on the web3 map

The recognition comes on the same day Animoca's flagship identity project, Moca Network, announced a Memorandum of Understanding with Inveo Kripto and Ichain Investment Holding, the blockchain arm of Inveo Investment Holding Group, one of Türkiye's leading financial ecosystems.

Here's the thing: Türkiye is not a market you sleep on. With 86 million people, a young tech-savvy population, and a top-five global ranking in crypto adoption, it represents exactly the kind of territory where web3 identity infrastructure can actually gain traction fast. The country also recently established a formal regulatory framework for crypto asset service providers, which means any serious web3 play there needs to be built with compliance baked in from day one.

Inveo Kripto is already listed on Türkiye's Capital Markets Board (SPK) Register of Active Crypto Asset Service Providers. That regulatory foothold matters enormously for what the two parties are planning.

What AIR Kit brings to the table

The core of the partnership centers on AIR Kit, Moca Network's suite of developer tools that runs on Moca Chain, an identity-native EVM-compatible Layer 1 blockchain. The plan is to explore integrating AIR Kit into Inveo Kripto's platform and broader financial services applications across Türkiye, subject to local regulations.

AIR Kit lets users carry a single verified identity across multiple apps, with reusable KYC, loyalty points, stablecoin payments, and what Moca Network calls "agentic identity." For gamers, the practical implication is significant: a verified identity layer that works across gaming wallets, neobanks, and web3 apps without starting from scratch every time you join a new platform. If you have been following the Big Time preseason leaderboard airdrop mechanics, you already know how fragmented identity and reward systems can get across different web3 games. A unified identity layer is the kind of infrastructure that could eventually clean that up.

The joint steering committee the two companies plan to form will explore real-world asset tokenization (including gaming assets and IP), stablecoin payment rails, fiat on- and off-ramps for web3 apps and gaming wallets, and digital banking for retail and gaming users.

Why gaming sits at the center of this

The explicit mention of gaming assets within the RWA tokenization scope is not accidental. Animoca Brands runs a portfolio of over 600 companies and digital assets, with gaming titles and platforms like The Sandbox, Anichess, and Open Campus among its consumer-facing products. Moca Network already connects more than 700 million addressable users across that ecosystem.

What most players miss is that the infrastructure deals like this one are what make the actual gaming experiences possible at scale. When a game like blockchain Brawlers needs players to verify ownership of assets or move value between platforms, that process only works smoothly if the identity and payment rails underneath it are solid. If you are just getting started with on-chain gaming, the blockchain Brawlers beginner strategies guide is a good place to see how these systems play out at the player level.

Onur Topaç, chairman of the board of Inveo Kripto and Ichain Investment Holding, framed the partnership in direct terms: "Partnering with Moca Network means Inveo Kripto can now operate on a truly international scale, bringing global blockchain innovation and investment directly into the Turkish economy."

The key here is that both sides bring something the other needs. Inveo Kripto has the regulatory license, the local market presence, and a full-stack financial ecosystem. Moca Network brings a global identity network, developer tooling, and Animoca's portfolio reach.

tip
The Moca Network ecosystem currently spans over 600 Animoca Brands portfolio companies and more than 700 million addressable users globally, making it one of the largest digital identity networks in web3.

What this means for the blockchain gaming sector

Landing on the Top 50 blockchain Game Companies list is a validation of trajectory, not a finish line. Animoca Brands has spent years building the argument that digital ownership and identity are the missing infrastructure layer for gaming at scale. Deals like the Inveo Kripto MoU are the operational proof of that thesis moving from concept into regulated, real-world deployment.

For players and developers watching this space, the direction is clear: web3 gaming infrastructure is expanding into major regulated markets, and the companies building that foundation are the ones showing up on lists like this.
