Danu Games is preparing for the 2024 release of its open-world MMORPG, Avalon The Game (Avalon), on the Epic Games Store. Following two years of development, the game's alpha phase in 2023 was deemed successful by the development team, paving the way for its upcoming release.
Drawing inspiration from the tales of King Arthur, Avalon places players in a medieval setting. As participants explore the game's world, they have the opportunity to earn rewards in the form of NFTs (Non-Fungible Tokens) and in-game tokens. These rewards are integral to gameplay, allowing players to acquire resources, craft items, and collaborate with others to build estates.
While reflecting on 2023, Danu Games highlighted it as a productive year, providing enjoyable experiences for early-stage players. Looking forward, the company has outlined plans to expand Avalon to consoles, with Xbox being a potential platform in the latter part of 2024.
A significant aspect of Avalon's development strategy involves its partnerships and technological support. Supported by AWS and Epic, the game's infrastructure incorporates multiple blockchains. The recent collaboration with Immutable marks a step into the Ethereum ecosystem, complementing Avalon's existing integrations with Polygon, WAX, and BNB.
