Bend Studio, the developer behind Days Gone, is reportedly planning to reveal its next game in 2027.
For players waiting for a follow-up to Days Gone, the reported direction points elsewhere: this project is not a sequel to the studio's 2019 game.
Development is said to be relatively far along, but Bend has not confirmed a reveal schedule.
A project outside the live-service format
Bend's next game is reportedly not a live-service title.
The studio has plenty of history with action games beyond Days Gone. Its earlier work includes Syphon Filter, Resistance: Retribution on PSP, and Uncharted: Golden Abyss on PS Vita.
A different project after the 2025 cancellation
Bend previously pitched a Days Gone sequel to Sony, but that proposal did not receive approval. The studio then turned its attention to a live-service game.
Sony canceled that project in early 2025. The newly described project would give Bend another route forward after that abandoned effort.
While waiting for a first look at Bend's next project, players returning to its last adventure can explore the Days Gone guide collection.
