The developers of Rumble Kong League (RKL) have introduced significant updates to the tokenomics of their upcoming $FAME token. The revisions primarily focus on adjusting emission schedules, modifying vesting periods, and redistributing token supply allocations. These changes aim to create a more balanced distribution model while ensuring smoother integration into the game's growing ecosystem.

About RKL
Rumble Kong League offers a competitive 3 vs 3 basketball experience integrating play-to-earn mechanics and an NFT Collection. The game features 10,000 unique ERC-721 tokens known as Kongs, each with randomly generated attributes that impact gameplay. This blend of blockchain and traditional gaming elements includes collectibles, social avatars, algorithmic gameplay, and play-to-earn capabilities. Rumble Kong League introduces a distinctive universe of NFTs, combining innovative features with digital value. The game recently migrated from Avalanche to the Ronin blockchain.
Deep Dive on $FAME Tokenomics
The updated tokenomics show a significant increase in tokens released at the Token Generation Event (TGE). The original plan allocated 896 million tokens—12.8% of the total supply—for launch. The revised structure now releases approximately 1.7 billion tokens at TGE, representing roughly 25.3% of the 7 billion total supply. This shift results from changes to vesting schedules across key allocation categories, especially Community and Ecosystem sections.

Community and Ecosystem Allocation
The Community allocation, which primarily benefits NFT holders, has shortened its vesting period from 24 months to 18 months. The total supply allocated to this category stays at 30%, but the unlock schedule has changed substantially. Previously, 20% of this allocation would unlock at TGE, equating to 6% of total supply. The revised plan unlocks 40% of the Community allocation at TGE, doubling the immediate availability to 12% of total supply.
The Ecosystem allocation now extends to a 48-month vesting period instead of 24 months. Despite the longer schedule, the percentage unlocking at TGE has increased from 15% to 30%, raising its immediate share from 3% to 4.5% of total supply. The total tokens reserved for Ecosystem have decreased from 1.4 billion to 1.05 billion, reducing its overall share from 20% to 15%. This reduction stems from a restructuring that separates previously bundled allocations—such as social campaigns and the first play-to-airdrop season—into distinct categories.
A new Social Fi category has been created with 210 million tokens, representing 3% of total supply. P2A SZN 1, covering the first play-to-airdrop season, receives 140 million tokens at 2% of total supply. Both categories will unlock fully at TGE with no vesting period. All participants in the initial soft launch of the mobile basketball game who earned $FAME points through gameplay will receive their rewards entirely unlocked on launch day.

Token Launch and Airdrop Schedule
The $FAME token launch was originally planned for late January or early February 2025. The developers have confirmed the TGE has been postponed to late February 2025. While no exact date has been provided, the token will launch on the Solana blockchain and feature gamified staking mechanics. The $FAME token functions as a key component of a multi-sport ecosystem, leveraging blockchain technology to integrate sports culture within the web3 space.
Before the token launch, Rumble Kong League's second season begins on February 17, 2025. This season introduces major updates including gameplay improvements, a revamped league system, a new mini-game, and the ability to wager Fame Points. The developers have not confirmed whether Season 2 participants will receive an airdrop similar to first season players.
The updated tokenomics overview explicitly references only the first season regarding airdrop allocations, suggesting potential rewards for Season 2 participants may come from the Ecosystem category and could be claimed later. The revised tokenomics model creates a more structured distribution while ensuring early participants receive their earned rewards at launch. Additional details on the airdrop claiming process and gameplay updates are expected soon.
