NBA 2K27 Arcade Edition launched exclusively on Apple Arcade on November 5, 2026, introducing the WNBA to the Arcade Edition for the first time. The release includes 180 active WNBA players.
The game joins Apple Arcade's catalog of more than 200 games, with no ads or in-app purchases. Alongside the new league, 2K's launch announcement details an expanded Neighborhood.
Where you can play WNBA teams
The WNBA roster is available in Quick Match and Blacktop, covering full-team games and smaller street basketball matchups. The two modes offer these formats:
- Quick Match: Play 5v5 basketball with your chosen WNBA team, either solo or against friends through Game Center.
- Blacktop: Challenge a friend in 1v1, 3v3, or 5v5 street basketball.
WNBA participation is limited to those modes. MyCAREER and The Association continue to use NBA teams, so the league's arrival does not introduce a WNBA career or franchise-management option.
WNBA teams enter Quick Match
MyCAREER starts rookies at 80 OVR
Players create a MyPLAYER build and join their chosen NBA team in MyCAREER. Rookies now start at 80 OVR, with progression built around 12 strategic matchups as they work to take their team to the NBA Playoffs.
The expanded Neighborhood adds four locations, splitting access to activities, training, and appearance changes between them:
- Center Terminal: Access events, quests, and seasonal content.
- Gym: Train your MyPLAYER to earn temporary buffs to stats including speed, acceleration, vertical, strength, and stamina. Those boosts last for a week.
- Barbershop: Change your MyPLAYER's hairstyle.
- Tattoo Studio: Customize your player's tattoos.
The training rewards have a defined duration, while the Center Terminal serves as the access point for the Neighborhood's event and quest offerings.

Franchise management and NBA Eras return
The Association handles the team-management side of basketball simulation games, putting you in charge as both GM and head coach of an NBA franchise. Its responsibilities include trades, free agents, scouting, and team finances.
NBA Eras returns after its introduction in NBA 2K26 Arcade Edition. The mode lets players guide established dynasties, with examples spanning the 1990s Chicago Bulls and today's Golden State Warriors.
Multiplayer Mode also lets players take their MyPLAYER online. Friends can compete through Game Center, while solo play remains an option across the release's basketball offerings.

Supported devices, controllers, and access
NBA 2K27 Arcade Edition is available on iPhone, iPad, Mac, and Apple TV, with a listed download size of 2.9 GB. Supported controllers include Xbox, PlayStation DualShock, PlayStation DualSense, and MFi-compatible models.
Apple Arcade costs $6.99 per month in the United States and offers a one-month free trial. The service is also included in Apple One, and a subscription supports a family of up to six people in total.
