Palworld 1.0 How to Reach the World Tree

Palworld 1.0 added a massive World Tree endgame zone, and reaching it requires specific Pals with immunity passives. Here's what you need to know before heading there.

Steam Community :: Guide :: Palworld 1.0: World Tree Guide Everything New: Pals, Items, Resources, Etc (2026 UPDATED) - Social

The World Tree in Palworld 1.0 is not somewhere you stumble into. It sits on its own island, it has environmental hazards that will kill unprepared players outright, and two of the Pals you need to survive it are locked behind high-level encounters. Pocketpair built this as a proper endgame destination, and it shows.

What makes the World Tree different from other zones

Most of Palworld's late-game areas just throw stronger Pals at you. The World Tree goes further. The zone has two specific environmental hazards: Explosive Spores and toxic gas. Both deal passive damage to you and your Pals if you don't have the right protection equipped, and by that, the game means the right Pals in your party, not just better gear.

This is where the 1.0 roster additions matter directly. Two of the new Pals introduced in Version 1.0 exist specifically to counter these hazards.

Silvance (Pal #193) grants immunity to the World Tree's Explosive Spores for both the player and their party. Dandilord (Pal #194) covers the toxic gas, making the player and all party Pals immune to both the Poison status and the gas itself. Without these two in your lineup, you're fighting the zone's hazards on top of whatever Pals are already trying to end you.

important
Both Silvance and Dandilord are high-level encounters. Silvance is a level 78 boss found at the Shinespore Root on the southwestern tip of the World Tree's island. Dandilord is similarly locked behind late-game content. You'll want to be well into the endgame before attempting either capture.

Getting to the island itself

The World Tree sits on a dedicated island, which means you need a flying mount capable of making the trip or a route through the fast travel network to get close enough. At this stage of the game, a high-tier flying Pal is essentially required. Options like Eidrolon (#171, a Dragon/Dark flying mount) or Roujay (#177, a Dark flying mount) are solid picks for the journey, and both were added in Version 1.0.

Here's the thing: the island isn't just a travel challenge. Once you land, the environmental hazards kick in immediately if you're not prepared. Getting there without Silvance and Dandilord means you're taking constant damage from the moment you arrive.

The Ominous Egg connection

The World Tree also ties directly into some of the most powerful passive builds available in 1.0. World Tree Passives are a new category of Pal traits introduced with the full release, and they're accessible through specific endgame methods including hatching certain eggs. If you're planning to build out the strongest possible Pal team, understanding how to get the Ominous Egg is worth your time before you even set foot near the World Tree.

The short version: World Tree content rewards are tied to how deep you're willing to go in the endgame loop. The zone isn't a one-and-done destination.

What most players miss about the preparation

Most players focus on raw level and gear when prepping for new zones. The World Tree punishes that approach. The two environmental hazards are passive, constant, and stack with incoming damage from the Pals already in the area. A party built around damage output without Silvance and Dandilord will burn through healing supplies faster than any previous zone in the game.

The key here is treating the World Tree like a raid encounter rather than an open-world zone. You need a specific composition, not just a strong one. Pair your immunity Pals with high-DPS options and a sustain source, and the zone becomes manageable. Walk in blind and you'll be making the trip back to your base for supplies repeatedly.

For players still working through earlier endgame content, the Palworld guides collection covers everything from Bellanoir's Slab fragments to base optimization, which are the stepping stones that get you ready for what the World Tree actually demands.
