PUBG Mobile 4.6 Update Brings Vampires, New Mode, and Season 32

PUBG Mobile just got a lot more gothic. Version 4.6 is live as of September 8 and runs until November 10, 2026, dropping a full vampire-themed takeover alongside Season 32, a returning ocean mode, and collaborations with One-Punch Man, Lincoln, B.Duck, and Alan Walker. There's a lot here.

The headline addition is Midnight Hunters, a limited-time mode that turns familiar districts into eerie combat zones where hunters go up against vampires. But the update reaches well beyond that single mode, touching Classic Mode, Arena Mode, World of Wonder, Home Mode, and Metro Royale. If you haven't logged in recently, Version 4.6 gives you plenty of reasons to.

Midnight Hunters: what the vampire mode actually looks like

Midnight Hunters pits two factions against each other across transformed versions of the map's recognizable locations. Vampire Hunter Guild outposts are scattered across the map, and a mysterious AI character called the Nightkeeper shows up at these spots to offer supplies and rewards if you can challenge him successfully.

The PvE enemy roster is the standout part of the mode. Three base enemy types are in play:

  • Bloodwalkers (melee-focused attackers)
  • Nightbat (ranged, sonic-blast attacks)
  • Vampire Elder (mini boss that summons arcane orbs to buff nearby enemies)

Elite variants of all three come equipped with protective shields and special finisher animations, so don't expect them to go down easy. Beyond fighting them, you can track down a Golden Bat disguised as a stone statue and defeat it before it escapes for a bounty reward, or crack open Scream Crates for puzzle-based challenges where failure triggers an alarm and broadcasts your location to everyone nearby.

Here's the thing that makes Midnight Hunters genuinely different from a standard themed mode: Bloodline Awakening. Eliminated players can return to the match as vampires, switching factions entirely and fighting back with four abilities: Claw Attack, Absorb (health restore), Blood Sense (marks nearby hunters), and Blood Amberfication (brief high-speed damage immunity). Bloodline Awakening runs every Friday through Sunday throughout September.

New gear that changes how you move and fight

Midnight Hunters introduces three items that affect movement and combat in ways that go beyond cosmetic theming. The Twilight Bat Wings transform you into an energy bat with hover, dash, latch, and sonar abilities. The Silvermoon Chain works as both an attack and a traversal tool, letting you zip across the map or block incoming damage. The Blood Crystal Barrier seals windows to shut down ambush angles.

Healing also gets expanded with the Blood Pact, Hunter Bandage, and Scarlet Tonic, giving squads more options to stay in the fight throughout the mode.

Classic Mode and Arena Mode changes worth knowing

Version 4.6 doesn't just add a themed mode and call it done. Classic Mode on Erangel gets new in-match missions, asking players to recover combat supplies or hack Supply Shops for Shop Tokens. The Supply Shop itself has been redesigned with better filtering and a wider item selection.

On the weapon side, the ACE32 and several 7.62mm rifles (AKM, M762, Honey Badger, Mk47, Groza) all receive firing stability improvements. New Channel Buoys near Military Base offer temporary safe zones in the water, and a new Inflatable Boat spawns as a portable four-seater that moves faster the more people are rowing. Parachuting also gets a small quality-of-life tweak: drag the joystick upward to lock into auto-glide.

Arena Mode adds a new Ranked season from October 1 to October 29 across four maps: Team Deathmatch - Warehouse, Team Deathmatch - Hangar, Assault - The Ruins, and Domination - Town. The top 1,000 players in each region earn a limited Title when the season closes.

Season 32, Metro Royale Chapter 34, and the Halloween push

Season 32 launches September 12 with refreshed tier rewards, new Path of Glory progression, and an upgraded Promotion Match system. Metro Royale Chapter 34 leans into the vampire theme with mutated vampire bases appearing at Arctic Base, guarding high-value Scream Crates and Golden Bat Statues.

World of Wonder gets a Halloweeks makeover through the Brainrot Royale mode, adding new collectible Brainrot characters, a limited-time Ghost Ship event, and a new event currency. The Ghost Ship fires ghost cannonballs that evolve Brainrot mutants, which is exactly as chaotic as it sounds. Creators building in WOW also get a temporary revenue share boost, with WOW Token earnings jumping from 55% to up to 83% through tiered rates.

Home Mode adds the Feast of Shadows event from September 13, a seeker-versus-specter setup where players earn either search points or fright points depending on which side they're on.

Collabs and the 4.6 theme song

The collaboration calendar for Version 4.6 runs in waves. Lincoln arrives September 10, One-Punch Man hits September 20 with themed events and Home content, and B.Duck joins October 2 with furniture and themed items. Ocean Odyssey returns exclusively on Erangel from September 30, and there are hints of a mysterious giant serpent breaking through the ground on that map, teasing something bigger still to come.

Alan Walker's track "FATE" serves as the official Version 4.6 theme song and is available in-game for free until November 10. It fits the dark atmosphere of the update and is a solid get for a seasonal event.

With two months of content packed into a single update window, Version 4.6 is one of PUBG Mobile's more ambitious seasonal drops.
