Rocket League Season 24 is set to launch on September 23 at 9 AM PT, bringing new gameplay features, limited-time events, competitive rewards, and crossover content to Psyonix's car soccer game.

The new season introduces Honor Duels, a Black Market Trade-In system, customizable scoreboards, updated mouse and keyboard controls, and new rewards for players who finish among the Top 100 in ranked leaderboards.

Season 24 will also feature three Limited Time Events, including Bullet Ball and a Persona 5 collaboration, while the Rocket Pass adds three new car bodies.

Rocket League Season 24 Adds Honor Duels

One of the main additions in Season 24 is Honor Duel, which allows players to challenge an opponent from their current match to a 1v1 duel.

If both players accept the challenge, they will automatically enter a duel using the same mode once their current match ends. Other players from the original match can spectate the duel.

The feature gives players a new way to settle rivalries directly after a match without having to arrange a separate private game.

Black Market Trade-In Arrives

Season 24 also introduces a new Black Market Trade-In option. Players can trade three duplicate Black Market items to receive one new Black Market item.

The resulting item will either be completely new to the player's collection or a painted version of an item they have not previously collected.

New Scoreboard and Camera Options

Players will gain more control over the information displayed during matches through the new Custom Scoreboard feature. Four statistics can be selected to appear alongside the score, with separate configurations available for each game mode.

The available statistics include almost all of the stats that can be viewed through the career section of a player's profile.

Season 24 also updates mouse and keyboard controls. New players using mouse and keyboard will receive modernized key bindings by default, while existing players can experiment with the updated settings.

A new Free Look Camera option will allow players to control where the camera is focused independently of its usual behavior. The feature is also available to controller players who want to experiment with alternative camera controls.

Rocket League Adds Top 100 Ranked Titles

Competitive players will have another incentive to climb the Soccar-specific ranked leaderboards in Season 24.

Players who finish in the Top 100 of the 3v3, 2v2, or 1v1 leaderboards will receive an exclusive Season 24 title based on their final placement.

The title tiers cover placements from 100th through first place, with separate titles indicating whether a player finished in the Top 100, Top 50, Top 25, Top 10, or at number one.

Season 24 Limited Time Events

Season 24 will feature three Limited Time Events, with two launching alongside the season on September 23.

Run It Up

September 23 – December 9

Run It Up will introduce 14 challenges that reward Nova Collection Drops, along with Sport, Special, Deluxe, and Import items.

Players can also earn two stat-tracking titles that display their Season 24 win and MVP totals.

The Nova Collection includes:

  • Ronin GXT Car Body
  • Laser-Light Goal Explosion
  • Neural Network Decal
  • InfoSec Boost
  • Fissure Trail
  • Additional items

Bullet Ball

September 23 – October 6

Bullet Ball is a new arena mode built around a fast-moving homing ball that targets one player at a time.

The targeted player is demolished if the ball hits them, but players have several ways to respond:

  • Attack: Dodge forward to parry the ball and send it toward another player.
  • Freeze: Backflip at the precise moment of impact to temporarily stop the ball.
  • Grab: Hold the grab button while dodging to grab another player. If the targeted player grabs someone, that player becomes the new target.

The last car standing wins the match.

Persona 5

September 25 – October 12

Persona 5 will cross over with Rocket League through a collection of themed challenges and cosmetics.

The event rewards include the Trickstar (P5R) Wheels, Morgana's Token Boost and Trail, the Phantom Thieves of Hearts Universal Decal, a Persona 5 Royal Octane Decal, and the TAKE YOUR HEART Player Title.

Players can also earn a Joker Topper, Morgana Player Banner, P5R Avatar Border, Treasure Chest, and repeatable 20,000 XP rewards.

A Mona Car Bundle will also be available in the Item Shop, featuring the Mona Car Body, Wheels, and Decal alongside Panther (P5R) and Joker (P5R) Mona Car Decals. The bundle also includes the Phantom Thieves of Hearts Goal Explosion and Wheels.

Rocket Rivalry Brings Creators Into Season 24

Rocket Rivalry will see eight Rocket League creators compete for points throughout the season.

The lineup includes freestyle pioneer JZR and ApparentlyJack, alongside Tenacity, Forky, almost, Firewall154 from Brazil, Twisty from the Netherlands, and Crnovy representing the MENA community.

Players can equip the Player Title associated with their preferred creator and earn points through Honor Duels. Those points will contribute to the creators' standings ahead of a showmatch in London.

Community Spotlight Honors Herculyse

Season 24 will also recognize longtime Rocket League community member and RLCS caster herculyse.

The Professional Yapper Player Title will be available for free through the Community Spotlight section of the Item Shop from the launch of Season 24 until September 30.

Rocket League Season 24 Rocket Pass

The Season 24 Rocket Pass introduces three new car bodies, each using a different existing hitbox.

The Volkswagen Golf GTI Edition 50 uses the Octane hitbox, the Dominus GT 76 uses the Dominus hitbox, and the Pareto 5S uses the Breakout hitbox.

The Rocket Pass also includes new Wheels, Boosts, Decals, Trails, and Goal Explosions. Highlights include:

  • Forewarned Holographic Wheels
  • Synapse Boost
  • Vextor Decal
  • Treadsparks Trail
  • Anipop Goal Explosion

Creator Drops Return

Creator Drops will return throughout Season 24, with Rocket League content creators receiving codes to distribute to their audiences on YouTube and Twitch.

Redeeming a Creator Drop code can award items ranging from Sport-tier cosmetics through to Black Market items.

New Reactive Goal Explosion Arrives September 26

A new two-part Goal Explosion will arrive in the Item Shop on September 26.

The reactive cosmetic changes after multiple goals are scored during a match. The first goal triggers its standard version, while scoring again activates its final form.

Rocket League Season 24 launches on September 23 at 9 AM PT, with the Bullet Ball and Run It Up events starting on launch day and the Persona 5 event following on September 25.
