Preorders for Tomb Raider: Legacy of Atlantis are live right now across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, ahead of the game's February 12, 2027 launch. The ground-up reimagining of Lara Croft's original adventure, built in Unreal Engine 5 by Crystal Dynamics and Polish studio Flying Wild Hog, is available in three editions ranging from $60 to $200.
What every preorder gets you
Every physical and digital preorder, regardless of edition, unlocks the Survivor Outfit as an in-game bonus skin. The design is based on Lara's look from the 2013 Tomb Raider reboot, which is a nice nod to the modern era of the franchise before this reimagining takes things back to the beginning.
Physical Standard Edition buyers at Amazon also get an exclusive fold-out collectible poster. That poster will remain available even after launch, but stock could be limited, so preordering sooner rather than later makes sense if you want it.
Breaking down all three editions
Here's a quick look at what each edition includes and what it costs:
The Deluxe Edition is the sweet spot for most players. The $10 premium over Standard gets you 48-hour early access starting February 10, plus the post-launch DLC Story Pack bundled in at no extra cost.
The Collector's Edition at $200 is aimed squarely at long-time fans. The centerpiece is a physical statue depicting Lara's iconic showdown with a T-Rex, one of the most memorable moments from the original 1996 game. It also comes with a Steelbook case, Mini Art Book, Triumvirate Talisman Keychain, and Croft Signet Pin. PS5 and Xbox versions are available at Best Buy and GameStop. Switch 2 Collector's Edition preorders are live at GameStop. The Amazon listing sold out quickly, but it is worth keeping an eye on for restocks.
Where Switch 2 preorders stand right now
PS5 and Xbox physical preorders are available at Best Buy, Walmart, Target, GameStop, and Amazon. Switch 2 is a different story. Physical Game Key-Card preorders are currently only live at GameStop, which means your options are more limited if you are planning to play on Nintendo's hardware. Digital preorders are available across all platforms through their respective storefronts.
A physical PC Collector's Edition is also planned, but preorders for that version are not live yet. It will include a Steam key as a code in box rather than a disc.
The story behind the remake
Legacy of Atlantis was first announced at The Game Awards 2025 to mark the 30th anniversary of the original Tomb Raider. The game is described as a true reimagining rather than a straight remaster, rebuilt from scratch in Unreal Engine 5 with modern gameplay mechanics, reworked environments, and new surprises woven into the familiar structure of the first game. Director Daul Siquera has spoken publicly about the team's approach to honoring the source material while updating it for a modern audience.
The key here is that this is a full co-development effort between Crystal Dynamics and Flying Wild Hog, not a simple port or upscale job. That collaboration, combined with the Unreal Engine 5 foundation, suggests a level of ambition well beyond a standard anniversary release.
The game drops February 12, 2027, with early access beginning February 10 for Deluxe and Collector's Edition owners.
