Riot teased her at Valorant Champions on October 18, gave a select group early access to test her out, and now patch 13.09 has made Hush available to every player. The telekinetic Duelist from Guangdong, China joins Valorant as the ninth agent in that role, and she brings a kit that can genuinely reshape how a round plays out.

Hush ability kit overview
What Hush actually does on the field
Hush's entire kit revolves around telekinesis and displacement. Her passive, Telekinesis, lets her interact with weapons, the Spike, and switches from a greater range than any other agent. That alone opens up some unconventional plays.
Her two basic abilities work similarly: both Displacement and Flashbulb can be thrown immediately or held and redirected mid-air with a reactivation input. Displacement pulls all nearby players toward a center point and concusses anyone who collides with a surface or another player. Flashbulb does exactly what the name suggests, blinding anyone looking at it. The ability to steer both in flight gives Hush a level of mid-round flexibility most Duelists don't have.
Flow creates an anchor point instantly, briefly levitates Hush if she's airborne, then propels her toward it after a short delay. Her ultimate, Suspension, fires a projectile steerable by crosshair that levitates all players caught in the detonation. That's not a small threat in a tight corridor.
Riot noted that Performance Score data for Hush may be uneven early on while the system calibrates what good utility usage looks like for her specifically.
The buff system just got a lot clearer
Patch 13.09 also formalizes two terms that were previously implied but never named. Haste now officially describes the movement speed buff applied by abilities, separate from a Combat Stim buff (which covers fire rate, equip speed, reload speed, and recovery speed). Snapshot refers to the still-image silhouette reveal debuff tied to abilities like Cypher's Spycam and Neural Theft.
The practical result: Brimstone's Stim Beacon, Clove's Pick-me-up, Miks' Harmonize, Neon's High Gear and Overdrive, and Waylay's Convergent Paths (now renamed to Haste) all display cleaner buff indicators in the UI. Waylay's buff was functionally identical to Haste already, so the rename is purely cosmetic on her end.

Clove nerfs, Jett cleanup, and a better Warden
Clove takes a meaningful hit this patch. Pick-me-up's bonus movement speed drops from 15% to 10%, bringing it in line with similar abilities across the roster. The bigger change is to Not Dead Yet: killing Clove after she casts her ultimate now rewards the player who secured the kill with both an ultimate point and a signature refresh point. Previously, Clove's post-cast window offered no such incentive.
Jett's passive has been removed from the Buy Menu entirely. It was never purchaseable, so this is purely a UI consistency fix, but it removes a point of confusion that has existed for a while.
The Warden gets a genuine quality-of-life pass. Riot smoothed out the pitch recoil on the first few bullets and tightened the spread on follow-up shots, with the 2nd bullet error reduced from 0.25 to 0.2 and the 3rd from 0.6 to 0.5. At a price point of 2900 credits, the rifle needed better base handling, and these numbers move it in the right direction.

Bug fixes worth knowing about
The patch clears out a solid list of longstanding issues. A few highlights:
- Tejo's Special Delivery was persisting into the next round and occasionally damaging players after the transition, which is now fixed.
- Sova's Hunter's Fury could hit players positioned behind him, which is also resolved.
- Chamber and Omen were briefly appearing on enemy minimaps after teleporting.
- Veto and Vyse's retrieval UI now reads RECALL instead of PICK UP, matching other similar abilities.
- Competitive Map Rating now weighs your Act Best Match more heavily to better reflect consistency and peak performance.
