Blizzard released a launch overview trailer for World of Warcraft: Forever on November 4, 2026, ahead of its PC launch that day. The video runs for more than 30 minutes.
Forever revisits the MMORPG's 2004 design, retaining its original goals while changing character options, progression, and world presentation.

What else the launch overview covers
The trailer also details the content supporting Forever's journey from level 1 to 60. Players get more than 1,000 new quests, alongside new zones and dungeons. Other subjects include raids, gear, talents, PvP systems, and the Legacy system.
Class revisions strengthen options such as Feral Druid tanking and Retribution Paladin damage. The changes aim to make nearly every talent specialization viable, expanding the roles available to classes that were more narrowly used in the original game.
Campfires support Forever's emphasis on social interaction. Spending time around one provides buffs that can increase experience gains, with other stat boosts depending on the professions of the characters gathered there.
The world presentation also changes through improved lighting, weather effects, and increased draw distance. The trailer demonstrates the latter with Nordrassil atop Mount Hyjal visible from The Barrens.
Forever is PC-only and included with a regular World of Warcraft subscription. The subscription also includes the Classic Era games and access to modern World of Warcraft: Midnight if the player owns the latest expansion. Players encountering login trouble can check the WoW Forever WOW51900337 access error guide.
Skyborne Elves can join either faction, but access to the race requires a separate one-time $30 purchase.
