What is ApeChain?
ApeChain was built through a partnership with Wire Network, a Layer 1 blockchain infrastructure that focuses on the AI agent economy. The concept centers on AI systems capable of performing tasks autonomously on behalf of users. The platform aims to simplify how creators engage with their audiences while improving the digital experience for consumers.
The new platform will become the foundation for Yuga Labs' projects, including Bored Ape Yacht Club and Otherside. Known for its work in web3 gaming, the company plans to use ApeChain to offer creators and developers more flexibility across digital entertainment formats, from web3 gaming to virtual art.

Harnessing the Power of AI
As AI continues to shape discussions around the creator economy's future, Yuga Labs is using this partnership to explore how the technology can transform creator-consumer interactions in digital and virtual environments. The company views this as a chance to deliver more practical AI applications within the web3 gaming space.
ApeChain's feature set includes decentralized AI capabilities alongside Wire Network's infrastructure benefits: zero gas fees, cross-chain compatibility, and rapid transaction speeds. These elements are meant to lower barriers for users building and interacting with digital content on the platform.

Final Thoughts
Ken DiCross, CEO of Wire Network, called the collaboration a meaningful step for AI's role in digital interactions. "Yuga Labs is a leader in digital community building and creative development. By combining Wire Network's scalable blockchain infrastructure with Yuga Labs' projects, we are creating new possibilities for AI-driven interactions that aim to benefit creators and users alike. Our goal is to support a decentralized, user-driven metaverse," he said.
Yuga Labs unveiled ApeChain at its ApeFest event in Lisbon, Portugal, this week. The launch represents the company's continued push to merge emerging technologies like AI with web3, building a platform that addresses the changing demands of the creator economy.
