The Points of View quest in Paralives is one of the first missions you can pick up from another Para, and it sounds simple enough until the game gives you zero directions on where to actually find binoculars. The town of Melino is large, and without a map marker pointing you to the right spot, you can waste a surprising amount of time wandering around. Here's exactly where to go and what to do.
Where are the binoculars in Paralives?
The binoculars are not in a shop, not in your inventory, and not something you craft. They're a fixed object sitting in a specific park lot near the far northern edge of the Melino map.
To get there, pan your camera all the way to the top of the map and focus on the middle section of that northern strip, right between a large stretch of trees. The park lot sits slightly northwest of The De Belcourt household. If you need another reference point, it's directly west of the large dirt plot with the cows, and east of two sizeable pre-built homes. All of the surrounding lots are for sale, so you may have already moved a Para into one of them without realizing the binoculars were nearby.

Northern park lot on Melino map
Once you reach the park, look toward the bottom right corner of the lot, close to the edge that overlooks the rest of Melino. That's where you'll find two sets of panoramic binoculars sitting side by side. This is the only location in the game where you can use binoculars, so there's no point searching anywhere else.
If you're having trouble spotting the park lot, zoom out your camera to maximum and scan the northern middle section of the map. The park is small but the binoculars are visible once you're close enough.
How to look through binoculars and complete the quest
Click on either of the two panoramic binoculars and select the "Look at panoramic view" option from the interaction menu. This activates a special viewing mode that gives you a full overlook of Melino. The moment you activate it for the first time, the binoculars objective in the Points of View quest automatically checks off.
To exit the viewing mode, press Esc. That's the whole mechanic. No minigame, no timer, just activate it once and you're done.
What do you do after the Points of View quest?
Once the binoculars step is checked off and you've handled the community center ruins memorial, the quest wraps up. From there, Paralives opens up considerably. A few things worth tackling next:
If your Para gets sick while you're out exploring, check out the guide to curing viruses and illnesses in Paralives before the Digestive System Virus derails your progress.
The Points of View quest is a good early nudge to explore areas of Melino you might not have visited yet. The northern park lot in particular has a genuinely nice view of the town, which makes the binoculars interaction feel like more than just a checkbox.
The binoculars are a shared object, meaning any Para on the lot can use them. You don't need to own the lot or have a specific skill level to interact with them.
For everything else the game has to offer, the full Paralives guide collection covers quests, skills, mechanics, and more as the early access build continues to expand.
