Weird Owl Answers Solutions in People ...

The Weird Owls in People of Note are easy to overlook on your first run through the world of Note. They look like a quirky collectible, but the payoff for tracking all 20 down is genuinely worth the effort: Ordinary Al on Pyre hands out four reward milestones, capped by The Third Echo, the strongest rap microphone available for Vox. Miss even one owl and you'll be grinding back through areas you already cleared.

This guide covers every owl location, the correct answer to each trivia question, and exactly what you get for your trouble.

What are the Weird Owls in People of Note?

Scattered across every major region in People of Note, the Weird Owls are a collectible challenge where you beat the correct owl in combat to earn a Weird Owl Feather. Each owl poses a trivia question about the world of Note, and picking the right target is the whole puzzle. According to Hardcore Gamer's coverage of the game, there are exactly 20 owls spread from Chordia all the way to the Scales of the World, and all 20 feathers go to Ordinary Al on Pyre.

The questions test your knowledge of game lore, faction names, ability costs, and geography, so players who skip dialogue will find themselves guessing. This guide removes the guesswork entirely.

What do you get for collecting all Weird Owl Feathers?

Ordinary Al pays out at four milestones: 5, 10, 15, and 20 feathers. Here's the breakdown of each reward, as documented by Hardcore Gamer:

5 feathers: Heart Topper remix stone

Heart Topper increases the power of linked abilities by 50% when the character is at full health. The practical use is straightforward: it rewards aggressive, clean play where you avoid taking damage, hitting harder at the start of fights before enemies chip you down.

10 feathers: Treble Threat accessory

Treble Threat adds 2 BP, giving you more room to chain skills in a single turn. Two extra BP sounds modest, but in a turn-based system built around ability costs, that headroom translates directly into longer and more damaging skill sequences.

15 feathers: One Hit Wonder remix stone

One Hit Wonder gives a 100% boost to linked abilities, which is double the power of Heart Topper. The trade-off is that the skill can only be used once per battle. Save it for a boss's vulnerable phase and the damage spike is significant.

20 feathers: The Third Echo (Vox's best weapon)

The Third Echo is a rap microphone for Vox with 41 offense, beating out Absolute Zero (the mic found in the game's final area) which sits at 37 offense. Beyond raw attack, it comes loaded with 7 songstone slots and 5 remix stone slots, plus additional connections. If you're building Vox for endgame content, this is the weapon you want.

Tips for hunting Weird Owls efficiently

The owls span the entire game world, so a few habits will save you time:

  • Talk to everyone early. Trivia #1 gates behind a conversation with Councilwomen Mandy and Tempo. Skipping NPC dialogue is the fastest way to lock yourself out of an owl.
  • Don't sell unique items. Trivia #16 tells you that Durandis is where you buy back accidentally sold unique items. Knowing this ahead of time can save a separate trip.
  • Do Chordia thoroughly. Three owls are located in Chordia (plus Trivia #14 in Sharp's House garden, which is a return visit). Chordia has the densest cluster in the early game.
  • Scales of the World has three owls in quick succession. Owls 18, 19, and 20 are all in the Scales of the World area. Once you reach the Concordance of EDM section, you're close to finishing the full set.
  • If you fail a question, Ordinary Al can reset the owls for a fee. No permanent consequences, just a minor cost.

Whirls Generation owl: what to know before you enter

Trivia #3 sits inside Whirls Generation's Maintenance tunnel, behind the Sad Bouncer. Getting past that bouncer requires bribing them with their favourite drink. According to the puzzle guide documented by Gamer Social Club, you need to mix Brandy, Cola Tengo, and Lemon Rhymed at the Everflow bar. Head there before trying to access the maintenance tunnel, or you'll be turned away at the door.

Once inside, the answer to Trivia #3 is The Cardioid Response, which is Cerrin's recording studio.
