The Wish Upon a Jirachi event is live in Pokémon Pokopia right now, and the clock is already ticking. You have from June 23 through July 8 at 4:59 a.m. (based on your Nintendo Switch 2 console time) to earn 10 exclusive star-and-cloud-themed furniture pieces and permanently add Jirachi to your town. The whole system runs on Shining Wish Notes, which aren't handed out freely. Here's everything you need to know to make the most of the event before it closes.
How do you start the Wish Upon a Jirachi event?
Before anything else, make sure your game is updated to version 1.1.1 and that you have at least one rebuilt Pokémon Center. Once those conditions are met, the game will notify you of a special visitor when you load in. Jirachi will be wandering somewhere near the Pokémon Center in your region. Walk up and talk to them, and they'll ask for your help collecting Shining Wish Notes without fully explaining how the process works.
What you do get from that first conversation is a crafting recipe for standard Wish Notes. Each one requires two Vine Ropes to craft at any workbench, found under the Other category. After that, Jirachi moves into the Pokémon Center and sets up a shop where you can spend your Shining Wish Notes.

How do you get Shining Wish Notes?
This is where the event gets interesting. You can't just craft Shining Wish Notes directly. The process works in two steps.
First, craft a standard Wish Note and keep it in your inventory. Then, look around your town for a Pokémon with a speech bubble above their head. These aren't the usual orange-outlined quest markers you're used to. The bubble text tends to be something distressed, like "What am I gonna do..." Approach and talk to them.
After you agree to help, you hand over one of your Wish Notes, and the Pokémon tells you what they need. Complete the request, then speak to them again. Your Wish Note comes back transformed into a Shining Wish Note.

Requests fall into three types:
- Furniture items (place the item in their home or habitat)
- Berries or crops
- Cooked meals
There's no daily cap on how many requests can spawn, and there's no penalty for leaving one unfinished before the daily reset. Requests do expire at the end of each in-game day, though, so don't let them sit too long.
All Wish Upon a Jirachi event rewards
Jirachi's shop holds 10 items, each costing exactly one Shining Wish Note. You need a minimum of 4 to build the habitat and 10 to collect everything. Jirachi also gives you a star-themed photo frame as a bonus after you spend 7 Shining Wish Notes total, so that's technically 11 items available from the event.
Several of these pieces are functional, not just decorative. The Starry-Sky Bed works as a normal resting spot, the Star Closet provides storage, and the Star-Shaped Dresser lets you change your character's appearance.
After the event ends, you can duplicate any of these items at the 3D printer in the Pokémon Center using Pokémetal, so don't stress too hard if you only get one copy of something you love.

How do you build Jirachi's habitat?
To make Jirachi a permanent resident, you need to build the Surrounded by Stars habitat. It requires exactly four items from Jirachi's shop:
- Jirachi Lamp
- Starry-Sky Bed
- Star Closet
- Cloud Table
Arrange them together and the habitat will register, but there's one catch: the Jirachi Lamp must be connected to an electricity source before the habitat counts as complete. A lamp sitting unpowered won't finish the job.
If you haven't unlocked generators yet, you'll get crafting recipes for generators and utility poles as you work through the Bleak Beach quests. The faster workaround is to build Jirachi's habitat near the active utility poles above Smeargle's painting hut, or to grab some poles and set everything up next to the windmill behind the Withered Wasteland Pokémon Center.
For a step-by-step breakdown of exactly how to build the habitat, the Surrounded by Stars habitat guide covers every placement detail.

Tips for farming Shining Wish Notes efficiently
The request system spawns Pokémon with needs at random, which can feel slow if you're standing in one spot. A few things that help:
- Move between regions actively. Pokémon with event requests appear across all areas with a level 3 environment and a Pokémon Center repair kit purchased, not just your home region.
- Keep Wish Notes stocked. You can't accept a request without one in your inventory, and crafting them costs two Vine Ropes each. Stock up before you start a farming session.
- Multiple requests can appear simultaneously. When the spawns are hot, you can clear several in quick succession. Don't rush off after the first one.

The Wish Upon a Jirachi event is one of the more rewarding limited-time events in Pokopia so far, and 10 Shining Wish Notes is genuinely achievable within the window if you stay active.
