Totodile has finally made it into Pokémon Pokopia, and the community has been asking for this one since launch. The 2.0.0 update dropped on August 5, 2026, bringing the Bubbly Basin expansion with it: a new underwater town, a fresh roster of Pokémon, and a surprisingly charming questline built around a tiny blue crocodile who just wants someone to play with. There's also a free outfit locked behind the whole sequence, so it's worth doing even if you already spotted Totodile wandering around.
How do you find Totodile in Bubbly Basin?
Totodile sits on the far side of a broken bridge in Bubbly Basin. You can't reach it until the bridge is repaired, so if you're rushing through the new area and wondering why you can't get to that little grinning Pokémon in the distance, that's why.
Not sure where to start? Popplio can point you in the right direction. Ask Popplio about their underwater buddy "with the big mouth" and it will confirm that Totodile is past that broken bridge. Once you've fixed the bridge and crossed over, look for a Pokémon that says "I wanna play..." That's your Totodile.

What mini-games does Totodile want to play?
Once you interact with Totodile, it pulls you into three games in sequence. Here's how each one plays out:
Game 1: Bite Battle
Totodile challenges you to a Bite Battle, where whoever bites the hardest wins. This is the first interaction after crossing the bridge.
Game 2: Look That Way
After the Bite Battle, Totodile moves straight into a game of "Look That Way." Complete it and Totodile leads you to a playground for the final game.
Game 3: Hide-and-Seek
The playground hosts the third and final game: hide-and-seek. Finish this one and the questline moves into its next phase, where Totodile shows you a fan it discovered. Totodile tries to bite it, stops when told it needs electricity, and that triggers a task pointing you toward another Pokémon entirely.
How do you unlock the Preschooler Outfit?
The Preschooler Outfit is tied directly to the playground visit. When you arrive at the playground for the hide-and-seek game, there's a human record called "All Smiles Update" sitting there. Read it.
The record is connected to All Smiles Preschool, and reading it automatically unlocks the outfit. No extra steps, no separate menu to navigate. The unlock triggers the moment you finish reading.
The outfit itself is a Japanese-style preschool uniform, complete with the yellow hat and crossbody bag. It's a clean cosmetic reward for a questline that's worth doing anyway.
