Where do you find Prism Scales?
Prism Scales are the event currency and they only appear on Dream Islands. To get there, interact with any Doll you've placed on your island to summon Drifloon, which carries you across. Once you land, look for flat, shell-shaped pink and blue objects scattered across the beaches and sandy areas.
If you have the Bubbly Basin DLC, the Basin Dream Island (accessed through the Starmie Doll) is particularly dense with Prism Scales, making it the fastest farming spot available.

- Open your inventory and place the Swim Ring, Cooler, and Beach Volleyball Set together in the same spot.
- The game will register the group as the Marine Leisure Activities Habitat (Habitat No. E-007) once all three are close enough.
- Wait for Milotic to appear. There's no specific time of day or weather condition required, so it can show up at any point.
Milotic spawns at Common rarity across all four time periods (Dawn, Day, Dusk, and Night) and under Sunny, Cloudy, or Rainy weather. Since the spawn is random, pointing a security camera at the habitat lets you catch the exact moment it arrives without having to stand there watching.
The habitat works in any area of your island, so placement is entirely up to your layout preferences.
What happens if you miss the event?
Missing the Fetching Scales for Feebas event doesn't permanently lock you out of Milotic. The Marine Leisure Activities Habitat can still be built after the event ends, as long as you already own the Swim Ring, Cooler, and Beach Volleyball Set.
