Eevee has always been one of the most beloved Pokémon in the franchise, and Pokémon Pokopia gives the Evolution Pokémon and all eight of its evolved forms a starring role. The catch? None of them appear during the main story. Tracking down Eevee, Vaporeon, Jolteon, Flareon, Espeon, Umbreon, Leafeon, Glaceon, and Sylveon requires unlocking Palette Town Mode and building very specific Habitats, each gated behind its own Special Challenge. Here is everything you need to know to collect the full Eeveelution family.
Where Do Eevee and Eeveelutions Appear in Pokémon Pokopia?
All nine members of the Eevee family are exclusive to Palette Town Mode and cannot be encountered anywhere in the main story. This is a deliberate design choice that makes Palette Town feel like a reward zone for dedicated players. Each Eeveelution lives in a unique, food-themed Habitat that you must construct, and most of those Habitats require a Special Challenge item that only unlocks after hitting a specific progression milestone.
Every Eeveelution Habitat follows the same base recipe: 1x Seat (Any), 1x Table (Any), and 1x unique food item. The food item is always the hard part.

Eevee's Tall Grass Habitat
How to Get Eevee in Pokémon Pokopia
Eevee is the most accessible member of the family. It is tied to the Tall Grass Habitat, but you do not actually need to build one to meet it. When you first interact with the Computer inside the Pokémon Center at the start of Palette Town, Eevee appears on its own and asks for your help finding its friends. This opening interaction also reveals the conditions needed to attract each of its evolved forms, giving you a natural roadmap for the grind ahead.
According to Game8, Eevee is listed as a Common rarity Pokémon that can appear in any biome, and its specialty is Trade, meaning it can exchange items with you at a cash register once befriended. It prefers a warm ideal habitat and likes soft stuff, stone stuff, cute stuff, letters and words, group activities, and sweet flavors.
Befriending Eevee early is worth prioritizing because its Trade specialty gives you access to item exchanges, which can help fund your later Habitat builds.
How to Get Every Eeveelution: Special Challenge Requirements
Each Eeveelution requires a specific food item obtained through a Special Challenge. The table below summarizes every unlock condition at a glance.
How to Get Vaporeon
Vaporeon spawns exclusively in the Boundless Blue Beverage Habitat. To build it, you need the Soda Float item, which only becomes available after collecting 12 different types of flower seeds and growing them in Palette Town. Diversifying your flower garden is the priority here, so plant as many different seed varieties as possible early on.
How to Get Jolteon
Jolteon lives in the Electrifying Potatoes Habitat and requires Fried Potatoes as the key item. You unlock Fried Potatoes by powering 50 machines with electricity across Palette Town. This is a mid-to-late progression milestone, so keep expanding your electrical infrastructure as you build.
How to Get Flareon
Flareon is drawn to the Burning-Hot Spice Habitat, which calls for Pizza. You earn the Pizza item after using Pokémon to assist with building 15 times. This one moves relatively quickly if you are actively using your Pokémon companions during construction tasks.
How to Get Espeon
Espeon appears in the Elegant Daytime Treats Habitat and requires the Afternoon Tea Set. The unlock condition is getting a Pokémon housemate in Palette Town, making it one of the more approachable Eeveelutions to pursue. Crucially, Espeon only spawns during the day, so set your in-game time accordingly.
How to Get Umbreon
Umbreon is arguably the biggest grind in the bunch. It needs the Dark-Chocolate Cookies Habitat, and the Chocolate Cookies item only unlocks after building a road using 300 blocks. That is a significant construction investment. On top of that, Umbreon only appears at night, so you will need to manage your time-of-day settings after the Habitat is ready.
Do not build the Dark-Chocolate Cookies Habitat and then forget to switch to nighttime. Umbreon will not spawn during daylight hours regardless of the Habitat being active.
How to Get Leafeon
Leafeon calls the Leafy Green Sandwich Habitat home, and attracting it requires Sandwiches. The unlock condition is obtaining 50 vegetable seeds and planting all of them at the same time. Stockpiling vegetable seeds before attempting the challenge is the smartest approach, rather than planting them in small batches as you find them.
How to Get Glaceon
Glaceon requires the Shaved Ice Habitat, with Shaved Ice as the food item. The unlock condition is setting up five lifts in Palette Town. If you have been expanding your town's vertical infrastructure, this one may come naturally during normal progression.
How to Get Sylveon
Sylveon is gated behind the Lovely Ribbon Cake Habitat, and the Ribbon Cake item unlocks once you have encountered 10 different Pokémon in Palette Town. This is one of the friendlier unlock conditions, rewarding players who are already actively exploring and befriending Pokémon in the mode.

Sylveon's Ribbon Cake Habitat
With every Habitat built and every Special Challenge completed, your Palette Town will be home to the entire Eevee family. The grind is real, especially for Umbreon and Leafeon, but having all nine gathered in one place makes the effort absolutely worth it.
