How does Hide-and-Sneak work?
The objective is straightforward: touch the PC at the Pokémon Center before the 3-minute timer expires. The obstacle is a group of hunter Pokémon patrolling the area around that same building. Get spotted and caught by any of them, and the round ends. The hunters' positions, patrol directions, and your own starting point shift each round, which means no two attempts play out identically.
Zorua is always one of the hunters. The rest are drawn from a random pool each round, so you can't memorize a fixed set of threats from game to game.

What's the fastest way to reach the PC undetected?
The back route is your best friend. Hunters tend to cluster near the front entrance of the Pokémon Center, which makes a direct approach the riskiest path. Circling around to the rear of the building cuts through far less patrolled space and puts you at the PC with much less exposure.
Before you move at all, use the Camouflage ability on yourself. Moving through the area in your regular form makes you significantly easier for hunters to spot. Camouflaging immediately after the round begins is one of the highest-impact actions you can take, so don't skip it in the rush to move.

How do you identify which Pokémon are hunters?
Hunter Pokémon have speech bubbles floating above their heads. Any Pokémon without a speech bubble is safe to walk past freely. Scan the area in the first few seconds of each round and lock in who's hunting before you commit to a route. Moving without knowing where the hunters are is the fastest way to walk straight into one.
Once you've identified the hunters, track their patrol directions as you move. They don't stand still, so a clear path can close off quickly if you're not watching.
What should you do when a hunter spots you?
When a hunter notices you, a question mark appears above their head and a heartbeat sound plays. The moment either of those signals hits, stop moving completely. Don't take another step. Stay frozen until the hunter turns away and resumes their patrol. Moving even slightly while that question mark is active will confirm their suspicion and end the round.

Does placing furniture actually help?
Yes, and it's underused. Any furniture or items you place in the playing area before a round starts can serve as cover to hide behind while navigating toward the PC. More objects in the environment means more options to break line of sight with hunters and more surfaces to use as Camouflage anchor points.

Why does luck matter so much?
Your starting position and the initial patrol directions of every hunter are randomized at the start of each round. Some configurations are genuinely harder than others, and there's no way to force a favorable layout. The good news is that applying the strategies above makes even difficult configurations manageable, and easier layouts will occasionally just hand you a clean run.
