Sableye Gem Hunt Event ...

Red Crystal Fragments are the currency driving Pokémon Pokopia's second major limited-time event, Sableye's Gem Hunt, which runs from April 29 through May 14. If you want every cosmetic item Sableye is selling, you need to know exactly where these fragments spawn and how the daily cap works before you start grinding.

Where to find Red Crystal Fragments in Pokémon Pokopia

Red Crystal Fragments only appear on Dream Islands, which immediately limits how many you can collect per session. They don't drop from regular island exploration or Pokémon encounters.

Once you're on a Dream Island, head underground. The fragments are tucked inside the cave systems beneath the surface, not scattered around the overworld. When you find a Red Crystal outcrop, destroying it always drops exactly 4 fragments. There's no upgrade or bonus that increases that yield, so don't waste time looking for one.

The bigger constraint is the island itself. Each Dream Island visit nets you roughly 20 to 28 Red Crystal Fragments total, depending on how many deposits spawn on that particular island. Since Dream Islands reset once per day, that's your natural ceiling per session.

How do you spend Red Crystal Fragments in Pokémon Pokopia?

After farming, head to any reconstructed Pokémon Center on the island. During the Sableye's Gem Hunt event, Sableye sets up a temporary shop inside, functioning the same way Hoppip's Cotton Spore exchange worked during the previous event.

Every item in the shop is cosmetic. Several of them double as habitat components, meaning you'll need them if you want to build a proper home for Sableye in your world. The good news: even after the event ends, you can photograph any of these items and reproduce them using the 3D printer, so missing the event doesn't permanently lock you out of the objects themselves.

Here's the full shop inventory:

The two cheapest items, the Jewel Wall Decoration and Oil Lantern, cost just 2 fragments each. The four priciest items, the Sleeping Bag, Camping Cooking Pot, Adventure Kit, and Tent, each run 10 fragments. Buying everything in the shop costs 64 Red Crystal Fragments total.

What's the fastest way to get all items before the event ends?

With a daily cap of 20 to 28 fragments and 64 total needed for the complete shop, you're looking at a minimum of 3 days of natural farming to buy everything. That's very achievable inside the 16-day event window without any time manipulation.

If you want everything on day one, time-skipping is the shortcut. It resets the Dream Island daily timer, letting you run multiple sessions back to back. Each run gives you up to 28 fragments, so two or three trips covers the full 64 easily.

For players who prefer to play naturally, just make sure you're hitting your Dream Island every day. Missing a few days still leaves plenty of buffer before May 14.

Building Sableye's habitat

Several items in the shop are specifically noted as components for building Sableye's Habitat in Pokopia. The source material doesn't specify exactly which items are required for the habitat versus which are purely decorative, but given Sableye's theme as a gem-obsessed cave dweller, the Jewel Wall Decoration, Treasure, and underground camping gear all fit the aesthetic.

If your goal is completing the habitat rather than owning every cosmetic, prioritize the items that feel thematically tied to Sableye's design. The cheaper items like the Jewel Wall Decoration at 2 fragments are a safe starting point.
