Resident Evil Requiem

Surviving Resident Evil Requiem comes down to one thing: never running dry. Whether you're navigating the Care Center as Grace Ashcroft or blasting through Raccoon City as Leon Kennedy, your ability to stretch every bullet, herb, and drop of infected blood will determine whether you make it to the end credits or get torn apart in a dark corridor. This guide breaks down resource tips, and the path to unlocking infinite ammo so you're always one step ahead.

Smart Resource Conservation Strategies

Aim for the Legs, Not the Head

This goes against every zombie movie instinct you have, but targeting legs is often the smarter play in Resident Evil Requiem. Shooting a zombie's legs drops it quickly, letting you sprint past without burning extra ammo on a kill. If you're playing as Leon, a downed zombie is the perfect setup for a free axe finish. As Grace, you can run past or deliver a quick headshot from above while it's helpless.

Use Hemolytic Injectors on Priority Targets

Hemolytic Injectors cost 1x Scrap and 60x Infected Blood, which isn't cheap. But carrying one or two at all times pays off. A stealth injection instantly kills any zombie and prevents it from reanimating as a Blister Head, which is far more dangerous and ammo-hungry to deal with. You can also use them on already-downed enemies to guarantee they stay dead.

Exploit Zombie Behaviors to Avoid Combat Entirely

Some enemies in the Care Center still respond to stimuli from their pre-infection lives. Certain zombies will move toward a light switch if you flip the lights on, while others will investigate sounds from thrown bottles or broken crates. Triggering these behaviors pulls enemies away from your path, letting you slip through without firing a single round.

Keep a Knife on Grace at All Times

Grace doesn't have Leon's kick or axe, which leaves her vulnerable when grabbed. Crafting a Makeshift Knife from 2x Scrap gives her a melee option to break free from grabs (though the knife may break in the process) and lets her swing freely with RT to push back close-range threats. Always have one in your inventory.

Collect Antique Coins Religiously

Antique Coins are scattered throughout the Care Center, some in plain sight and others locked in safes. They're redeemable at the Parlor in the West Wing for valuable items including the Matsuoka Override Manual and Hip Pouches that each add two inventory slots. Grace's inventory is painfully small by default, so grabbing every pouch you can find is a high priority.

How to Unlock Infinite Ammo in Resident Evil Requiem

Infinite ammo is a post-game reward, not something you stumble into during your first run. You unlock it by purchasing the Infinite Ammo (Guns) item from the Special Content menu for 50,000 CP.

CP (Challenge Points) are earned by completing in-game challenges tied to the achievement and trophy system. A thorough first playthrough typically yields around 12,000 CP, which means you'll need at least one more dedicated run to hit the threshold.

What's the Fastest Way to Reach 50,000 CP?

The most efficient route is completing your second playthrough on Insanity difficulty, which rewards 40,000 CP on its own. Combined with your first-run total, that puts you comfortably past the 50,000 mark.

Alternative high-CP challenges include:

  • Finishing a run in under four hours for 20,000 CP
  • Completing a run without using any healing items or Grace's Blood Collector for 35,000 CP

These challenges stack, so mixing and matching based on your skill level lets you hit 50,000 CP in two playthroughs without necessarily touching Insanity difficulty.

Trust me, I died way too many times to those Blister Heads in the Care Center before figuring this out, ammo management is everything in Requiem. Stick to leg shots, keep a knife on Grace, and hoard those coins for pouches. It'll make your runs so much smoother, especially when you finally unlock infinite ammo after grinding those CP challenges.
