Warped closets are one of Resident Evil Requiem's sneakiest collectible traps. You'll spot these bloated, twisted wooden cabinets early in the Care Center while playing as Grace, but she has no way to force them open. You'll need to circle back as Leon, who can pry them apart using his hatchet. Miss them before reaching Victor's Office and you're locked out permanently. There are exactly five warped closets in total, all tucked inside the Care Center, and each one hides genuinely useful loot worth grabbing.
All five warped closets must be opened before you progress too far into Victor's Office. Once you pass that point of no return, any unopened closets become permanently inaccessible.
What Are Warped Closets and How Do You Open Them?
Warped closets are environmental containers that appear swollen or structurally distorted, making them impossible to open through normal interaction. When you're controlling Grace in the early Care Center sections, these cabinets are simply off-limits. No amount of button pressing will get them open at that stage.
The situation changes once you take control of Leon S. Kennedy. His hatchet is the tool you need, and using it on a warped closet triggers a forced-entry animation that breaks the cabinet open. The mechanic is straightforward: approach the closet, press the interact prompt, and Leon does the rest. What's inside makes the detour worthwhile every time.
Before heading to Victor's Office, do a full sweep of all five closet locations as Leon. Treat it like a checklist to avoid missing the point of no return.
Where Are All Five Warped Closet Locations?
Every single warped closet sits within the Care Center, with the majority concentrated in the West Wing. You won't find any of these outside this facility, so keep your search focused here during Leon's portion of the story.

Pantry closet holds the Connoisseur Charm
Warped Closet 1: Third Floor Attic Corridor
The first closet sits on the third floor corridor that connects the Attic and Attic Storage rooms. It's hard to miss if you're moving between these two spaces. Breaking it open rewards you with a weapon compensator and the Basement Safe Code file, which is useful for cracking one of the Care Center's locked safes later.
Warped Closet 2: Bar and Lounge Hallway
Head to the corridor linking the Bar and Lounge area to the Gallery. The closet is tucked into a corner near the wall where the hallway bends. You can also spot it from the left end of the hallway after exiting the Chairman's Office. Inside you'll find the Dishwasher's Note along with a batch of shotgun shells.
Warped Closet 3: Filing Room, First Floor
This one requires a bit of setup. The Filing Room on the first floor must have been unlocked earlier during Grace's segment using the Level 1 ID Wristband. Once you're inside, move into the small inner room and check along the right wall. Leon can break this open to collect 10 Handgun ammo and a Med Injector, both solid resources heading into tougher encounters.
If you skipped unlocking the Filing Room as Grace, you'll need to backtrack and find the Level 1 ID Wristband before this closet becomes accessible as Leon.

Records Room closet has the Mr. Raccoon statue
Warped Closet 4: Records Room, Second Floor
The Records Room on the second floor of the Care Center holds the fourth closet. Enter the room and check behind the desk to spot the warped cabinet against the wall. This one has the best loot of the bunch: a Mr. Raccoon statue collectible, 15 handgun bullets, and a mixed herb combination. If you're hunting collectibles for trophies or achievements, this closet is non-negotiable.
Warped Closet 5: Pantry, First Floor
The final closet is in the Pantry on the first floor. If the Pantry wasn't unlocked during Grace's playthrough, you'll need to deal with the Chef enemy roaming nearby to obtain the Pantry Key. Once inside, check along the left wall to find the last warped closet. Your reward is the Connoisseur Charm, a collectible charm item.
What Happens If You Miss a Warped Closet?
Once you pass the Victor's Office story checkpoint, the game locks you out of the Care Center for good. Any warped closet you didn't open with Leon's hatchet before that moment is gone permanently. The Mr. Raccoon statue in Closet 4 is particularly important if you're chasing a full collectibles run or specific trophies, since those statues are tied to completion tracking.
If you're playing on a fresh file, the safest approach is to treat Leon's Care Center section as a dedicated cleanup phase. Clear enemies, explore every room, and work through all five closets before pushing the main story forward.
The Connoisseur Charm from Closet 5 and the Mr. Raccoon statue from Closet 4 are both tied to collectible-related trophies and achievements, making those two closets the highest priority for completionists.
