A prequel built around Sophia's search for the truth
Resonance: A Plague Tale Legacy is set 15 years before A Plague Tale: Requiem, following Sophia, a young plunderer on the run who is hunting for answers about her own past. Her search takes her to Minotaur's Island, a place where deadly trials, treacherous terrain, and an army in pursuit are the least of her problems.Asobo Studio frames this as an original story within the A Plague Tale universe, blending combat, puzzles, and mythological elements tied to the series' wider history.
Melee combat, dual timelines, and light-manipulation puzzles
Sophia is a capable melee fighter, and the game leans into that with dynamic, violent close-quarters combat that rewards sharp reflexes and well-timed parries.Multiple enemy factions have converged on the island chasing a mysterious treasure, so staying alive means reading the situation and picking your moments rather than charging in.
The game also shifts between Sophia's medieval timeline and ancient Minoan times, with echoes of the past directly shaping what happens in the present.A stolen Minoan sphere becomes a key tool for solving light-based puzzles engineered by Daedalus into the island's architecture.
The creature behind the myth
Beyond the armies and the trials, something else is on the island, a restless presence that tracks Sophia's movements and hunts through the depths.Hiding, outsmarting it, and pressing forward are the only options, and the game makes clear that most people who came to this island never left.
