Weapons in Anime Zero are your character, your moveset, and your identity all rolled into one. You pull them from the Arsenal using spins, and each comes with a four-move kit that defines how you play. Two rarities sit above the rest: LYTH and Arcane. Everything below Mythic is a stepping stone.

Cataclysm pairs lightning-fast katana strikes with massive frost bursts and has damage immunity on all moves, making it both safe and lethal. Cursed King is the best non-LYTH option: high-speed slashes, large fire bursts, and domain control give it peak Arcane damage output. If you can only invest in one weapon right now, Cataclysm or Flame Director should be the target.
Immortal Sovereign and Dragon Eclipse land in A tier as the best beginner options. Both are Mythic rarity, easier to reach with codes, and Dragon Eclipse even holds one of the best damage-boosting titles in the game. They work as solid second-slot picks until you pull something from S tier.

Divine Emperor and Lights of Divinity sit in B tier. Divine Emperor has decent blade strikes and Conqueror's Haki reach but its only synergy is with Rubber Man, which wastes the pairing. Lights of Divinity is worth investing in only if you are running it alongside Cataclysm for the speed and cooldown bonus.
The C and D tier weapons are not useless early on. Kings Gambit and Twisted Agony have a useful +20% ultimate charge synergy together, and Rubber Man gets a bump from the Divine Emperor pairing. But all five get outscaled quickly once you move into higher chapters.

Deadeye is the strongest trait for sustained damage modes. It gives +20% damage, +5% Critical Chance, and +50% Critical Damage, which compounds hard in longer fights where crits stack up. Supernova trades some of that crit ceiling for consistency: +24% damage, +13% cooldown reduction, and +20% Attack Speed make it the better pick when you need to clear stages fast rather than maximize single-target DPS. Ferocity rounds out the S tier at +18% damage, +8% cooldown reduction, +14% Attack Speed, and +2 Speed.
Fortune deserves a mention despite being listed lower in some rankings. Its bonuses to Coins, XP, and drop rate make it genuinely the best trait for farming sessions, and you should keep one equipped whenever you are grinding materials rather than pushing boss content.
