Huss Valley takes the simple concept of Tag and turns it into something that rewards real skill. One player hunts, everyone else runs, and the rectangular arena gives nowhere to hide. The movement system alone separates players who survive from those who get converted in round one. If you just jumped into Roblox and found yourself getting stabbed before you even hit the finish line, this guide covers everything you need to turn that around.
At the start of every match, the game randomly assigns one player as the Chaser and everyone else becomes a Runner. The arena is a rectangular field with a start line and a finish line at opposite ends.
Runners win by crossing the full length of the arena and reaching the finish line 3 times without anyone on their team getting caught. Every Runner must survive each crossing. If the Chaser tags even one person, that player switches sides and becomes an additional Chaser for the next round.
Chasers win by converting every Runner. A single knife hit downs a Runner immediately, pulling them out of the Runner pool and adding them to the Chaser team. As rounds progress and more Runners get converted, the Chaser side gets stronger while the Runner side shrinks.
At match end, both sides earn Gems and Coins based on performance.

Huss Valley Ultimate Beginner's Guide
Each round, one Runner gets a random prompt to play as a Hero or a Chicken. Choosing Hero means you attempt to cross the arena solo for a bonus reward. Choosing Chicken skips the reward and the round plays out normally with the full group. The Hero choice is high risk for a solo bonus, while Chicken keeps you in the pack where safety in numbers applies.
| Action | Key |
|---|---|
| Move | W, A, S, D |
| Lateral dash (left or right only) | Spacebar while holding A or D |
| Instant stop | Alt |
| Interact | E |
This is the part most new players skip over, and it is why they keep getting caught.
Huss Valley does not use standard Roblox movement where you hit full speed the moment you press a key and stop the instant you release it. Instead, the game runs on an acceleration-based momentum system.
Dashes are lateral only. You cannot dash forward or backward. Hold W to move forward, press A or D to lean left or right, then tap Spacebar to execute a sideways forward dash. This diagonal movement is your primary evasion tool as a Runner and the core of every effective juke.
Gems come from two sources: match performance rewards at the end of a game, and pickups scattered across the arena floor during a round. Collecting gems mid-round while playing as a Runner is passive income that stacks on top of your end-of-match reward. Gems unlock permanent abilities in the shop.
Coins come exclusively from match performance rewards. You cannot pick them up during a round. Coins are spent on consumables, which are single-use items that give a one-time advantage per match. Only one consumable can be equipped at a time.
Abilities are permanent unlocks purchased with Gems. They are available for both roles and significantly change how each round plays out.
| Ability | Cost | Effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Cloak | 1000 Gems | Disappear for 3 seconds. You can still be hit. | Best |
| Pocket Door | 400 Gems | Slams a temporary door behind you that blocks the Chaser for 6 seconds. | Mid |
| Emergency Airhorn | 1000 Gems | Short-range blast that knocks a Chaser backward. | Low |
Cloak is the strongest Runner ability available. Three seconds of invisibility creates enough time to break the Chaser's line of sight and reach the finish. The catch is that you can still take a hit while cloaked, so do not run directly at the Chaser and assume you are safe.
Pocket Door costs far less at 400 Gems and provides a physical barrier between you and the Chaser for 6 full seconds. It is a reliable first purchase before you save up for Cloak.

Huss Valley Ultimate Beginner's Guide
| Ability | Cost | Effect | Priority |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rufus's Leash | 1200 Gems | Throws a leash forward and pulls a Runner up to 6 studs toward you. | Best |
| Big Dagger | 900 Gems | Doubles melee range for the next hit, lasting 5 seconds. | Mid |
| Rocket Shoes | 850 Gems | Dash in your movement or camera direction from a standstill. | Low |
Rufus's Leash is the standout Chaser ability. Pulling a Runner 6 studs toward you eliminates the gap that most evasion techniques rely on. Runners who are good at dashing and direction changes become far easier to catch when you can simply yank them back.
| Consumable | Effect | Best Role |
|---|---|---|
| Banana Peel | Trips the opponent on contact | Chaser: drops Runners mid-run |
| Rescue Kit | Single-use revive after being downed | Runner: second chance after a knife hit |
| Adrenaline | Boosts acceleration and cornering speed for 5 seconds | Runner: closing the final gap to the finish |
The Rescue Kit is arguably the most impactful consumable for Runners. Getting downed by a knife hit normally converts you to a Chaser permanently for that match. A Rescue Kit reverses that outcome once, keeping your team's numbers intact.
Adrenaline pairs well with the momentum system. Since acceleration is gradual by default, a 5-second boost to both acceleration and cornering speed lets you pull away from a Chaser who is trying to cut off your path.

Huss Valley Ultimate Beginner's Guide
Huss Valley's depth comes from how much the momentum system rewards deliberate movement over raw speed. Runners who master the lateral dash and the Alt stop will consistently reach the finish line even against experienced Chasers.
