Anime Adventures on Roblox is a tower defense game with enough units to make every pull decision feel consequential. Update 21 Heaven's Storm reworked the meta significantly, adding 35 ranked units across four tiers. The difference between a team that clears Infinite Mode and one that stalls on wave 30 usually comes down to three decisions: which DPS you anchor around, which support units multiply that damage, and whether your traits are set up correctly before you place anything.

Supreme Being Sovereign placement
What do the tier rankings mean?
Tier rankings here reflect performance across story, raids, and Infinite Mode, not just raw damage numbers. A unit earns S tier by changing how a team functions at a fundamental level. A tier covers units with strong output that carry specific limitations. B tier units are situational or require niche team compositions to reach their ceiling. C tier units have meaningful drawbacks, outdated kits, or availability problems that prevent reliable use.
| Tier | Meaning | Count |
|---|---|---|
| S | Dominant in most modes; build around these | 10 |
| A | Strong with clear limitations or setup costs | 15 |
| B | Situational; effective in specific comps only | 12 |
| C | Limited damage, high drawbacks, or unobtainable | 5 |
S tier: the units worth building around
Every S tier pick either deals exceptional damage across multiple game modes or multiplies the output of the units around it so significantly that skipping them costs clear speed.
Illusionist (Transcended)
Illusionist (Transcended) is a Secret rarity unit who stuns every enemy and boss on the map for 5 seconds on placement. That alone makes him worth a slot in Infinite Mode. Beyond the stun, he deals AoE damage to all enemies in his radius and sends enemies below 25% health into a fragile state that amplifies incoming damage. His utility in crowded or boss-heavy stages is hard to replace.
Supreme Being (Sovereign)
Supreme Being (Sovereign) operates through a mark mechanic: he tags enemies within range for 12 seconds, then deals five times his damage stat to any marked enemy still in range when the timer expires. His passive also summons Shade Birth, a companion whose HP equals five times his raw damage and which deals its own damage independently. High range and AoE attacks make him effective against large groups.
Snow Reaper (Final)
Snow Reaper (Final) is a Secret unit whose deployment and upgrade cost sits well below most other Secrets, making her one of the more accessible S tier picks. She slows enemies within range and applies Chilled stacks. At six stacks, Chilled enemies freeze and take an additional hit equal to her damage stat. Her AoE hybrid coverage extends to nearly 40 range, and she hits air targets. Freeze and slow keep enemies inside kill zones longer, which is why she contributes more than her raw 284K per 5.6 seconds suggests.
Vengeful Swordsman (Sky Reaver)
Vengeful Swordsman (Sky Reaver) deals additional Magic damage equal to his full damage stat on every hit, effectively doubling his base output. Physical damage buffs also scale his Magic damage, which means support units that boost Physical still improve him. His White Flash Draw Technique guarantees a critical hit on the first attack against any enemy and penetrates 60% of both Physical and Magic resistances. He is the top pick for Infinite Mansion specifically.
Ghost-kun (Bound)
Ghost-kun (Bound) is a Mythical unit with high DPS, a cone AoE, and Fire DoT. His final attack lands nine hits, which makes him particularly effective at breaking enemy shields. Consistent burn damage and wave-clearing speed keep him relevant in most modes.
Shinobi (Eternal)
Shinobi (Eternal) pairs high DPS with a large AoE circle and Burn DoT. His Mangekyo Eye passive improves his effectiveness further. The combination of DoT and wide coverage lets him handle multiple enemies simultaneously without needing precise placement.
Enlightened (Nirvana)
Enlightened (Nirvana) switches between three modes. In Bleed Mode, he deals circular AoE damage and applies Bleed that ticks at 30% of his base damage over 3 hits. In Hybrid mode, he gains a damage and range boost and gains air targeting. Mode flexibility means he adapts to enemy types rather than requiring you to build around one damage type.
Dracula (Unholy King)
Dracula (Unholy King) summons an army via Soul Restraint with over 12 million total HP combined, which provides sustained offensive pressure across most modes. Three placement slots give him offensive coverage in different situations, and his overall damage output handles challenging enemies reliably.
Chuuni (Delusion)
Chuuni (Delusion) is the best magic-damage support in the current meta. She raises Magic damage taken by targeted enemies by 50% per stack, up to three stacks at base. Her Unique trait pushes the total cap to 300%. Her Pact of Revelation passive deals damage equal to 7% of her damage stat every 0.5 seconds, which is 14% per second as a secondary damage source while enemies stay in range. Pair her with any magic-damage dealer and the numbers scale dramatically.
Elyssa (Abyssal)
Elyssa (Abyssal) is a Mythical summon-hybrid whose Jellyfish and Eel summons generate most of her damage at 573K every 3.6 seconds from summons alone, with serpents adding 171K every 7.3 seconds each. Zombie (Risen) doubles summon damage, making Elyssa one of the biggest beneficiaries of a summon-stack team.

A tier: strong units with specific limitations
A tier units are not secondary choices. Several of them outperform S tier units in specific modes or team compositions. The limitations are real but manageable.
| Unit | Rarity | Main Strength | Key Limitation |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kansai (Daydream) | Mythical | Up to 200% damage buff after 10 seconds idle | Buff resets after each attack |
| Griffin (Darkness) | Mythical | Highest raw damage output among Mythicals | Requires expensive unit sacrifices |
| Pirate King (Final) | Secret | Heavy AoE damage plus enemy stun on every attack | High upgrade cost |
| Iceclaw (Azure Fang) | Mythical | 50% crit chance with cone AoE | Better DPS options exist |
| Somber (Buzzsaw) | Mythical | Bleed DoT over six ticks; circular AoE at higher upgrades | Outclassed by other Bleed units |
| Menace (Terror) | Mythical | 3x damage to bleeding enemies; 4.5x on crits | 20-second ability cooldown |
| Fused Hero | Mythical | Top Mythical DPS; inherits stats from fusion source | Expensive to max upgrade |
| InHuman (Nullifier) | Secret | Nullifies enemy passives including Fire, Ice, Armor, Shields, Flying | 90-second cooldown |
| Switchblade (Deception) | Secret | Applies Dismembered for permanent 20% more damage taken | Low direct DPS |
| Sword Queen (Knight) | Mythical | Scales into late-game; circular AoE at higher upgrades | Lower DPS limits to secondary role |
| Legendary Assassin (Prime) | Mythical | Permanent damage stacks up to 200%; range scales with upgrades | Requires repeated attacks to peak |
| Griffin (Reincarnation) | Mythical | 100% damage buff to all allied units | Cannot attack enemies directly |
| Elfy (Sylph) | Mythical | 50% Magic damage boost; doubles to 100% with a second Elfy | Strongest buff needs two Elfys |
| Commander | Legendary | 25% Physical damage boost; stacks to 50% with two Commanders | Only affects Physical damage |
| Wind Dragon | Legendary | 50% Magic damage boost; stacks to 100% with two Wind Dragons | Needs a second Wind Dragon for max buff |
Griffin (Reincarnation) deserves special attention here. A 100% damage buff to all allied units stacks with Commander, Wind Dragon, Elfy, and other support units. In a well-built team, his buff multiplies the output of every damage dealer simultaneously, which makes him one of the most efficient A tier picks despite dealing zero direct damage.
B tier: situational but not weak
B tier units are not filler. Several of them are core to specific compositions. The issue is that they either require niche setups, have restrictive cooldowns, or depend on other units to reach their potential.
Zombie (Risen) is the clearest example. He raises summon damage by 25% per Zombie on the map, and the buff stacks multiplicatively with Commander, Wind Dragon, and Griffin (Reincarnation). Four Zombies give +100% summon damage and +40% summon range. With four more from a friend's team, eight total Zombies push that to +200% damage and +80% range. On a team without summon units, he contributes almost nothing. On a team built around Elyssa (Abyssal) or Violentine (Brutal Angel), he is the reason the composition works.
Violentine (Brutal Angel) summons the last enemy she damages at 25% of its original health every five attacks, with a hard cap of 10 summons. Her AoE attacks help maintain the summon generation rate, but her upgrade cost is high relative to her output without Zombie support.
Other notable B tier picks:
- Operator (ROOM) teleports enemies back by half his range, including bosses, which slows wave pressure without dealing significant damage.
- Berserker (Rage) applies Bleed over four ticks and gains air targeting from Upgrade 8 onward, but needs a dedicated Bleed amplifier to reach competitive DPS.
- Reliable Student (Echoes) slows enemies by up to 80% at Upgrade 5 and gains flying-enemy coverage, making him a budget control option.
- Ashborn (Decay) bypasses shields with True Damage but requires careful placement to keep enemies in range long enough for Decay to accumulate.
C tier: proceed with caution
| Unit | Rarity | Main Issue |
|---|---|---|
| Trickster (Release) | Secret | Long cooldown; low base damage |
| Spearer (Child of Light) | Mythical | Small AoE; damage-dependent on upgrades |
| Ice Lily | Mythical | Currently unobtainable |
| Paradox (Divine Sight) | Mythical | Low base DPS; 60-second global cooldown on time-stop |
| Mangaka (Artist) | Secret | Tiny AoE; Wild Card shares cooldown with Time Stop |
Ice Lily is currently unobtainable, which alone removes her from any practical team discussion. Paradox (Divine Sight) has an interesting 8-second time-stop, but the 60-second cooldown and low base DPS mean other units contribute more over a full wave.
How to build a team around the meta
The meta is not one carry unit. It is a layered system where control keeps enemies in kill zones, support multiplies damage, and a primary DPS closes out waves.
Step 1: Pick your primary DPS
Illusionist (Transcended), Vengeful Swordsman (Sky Reaver), or Supreme Being (Sovereign) for most modes. Ghost-kun (Bound) or Shinobi (Eternal) if you need consistent Mythical-rarity DPS without chasing Secret units.
Step 2: Add control
Snow Reaper (Final) handles freeze and slow with almost 40 range. Reliable Student (Echoes) is a cheaper alternative at 80% slow by Upgrade 5. Both keep enemies inside your DPS units' kill zones longer.
Step 3: Add damage amplification
Chuuni (Delusion) for magic-damage teams, pushing the damage-taken cap to 300% with Unique. Griffin (Reincarnation) for Physical teams or mixed compositions. Switchblade (Deception) for a permanent 20% damage-taken debuff that benefits every unit on the map.
Step 4: Add summon scaling if applicable
If Elyssa (Abyssal) or Violentine is in your lineup, four Zombie (Risen) placements are the minimum target. Eight total with a friend's Zombies doubles the buff again.
Step 5: Assign traits before you place
Traits are not an afterthought. Unique is the correct choice on Illusionist, Supreme Being, Vengeful Swordsman, Ghost-kun, Chuuni, and Elyssa. Snow Reaper (Final) and Zombie (Risen) prefer Divine for the combined range, attack speed, and damage package. Reliable Student (Echoes) and Operator (ROOM) want a Range trait to extend their control coverage.
How do you acquire the hardest meta units?
Acquisition is where most players lose time. Matching your grind to the actual bottleneck saves weeks.
| Unit | How to Get | Key Bottleneck |
|---|---|---|
| Illusionist (Transcended) | Secret rarity pull | Banner availability |
| Snow Reaper (Final) | Golden chests in dungeons | Small chance per chest |
| Elyssa (Abyssal) | Banner | Four upgrades needed |
| Zombie (Risen) | Banner | Placement cap at four |
| Chuuni (Delusion) | April Fools event | Limited window only |
| Vengeful Swordsman (Sky Reaver) | Secret rarity pull | Banner availability |
| Griffin (Reincarnation) | Banner | Mythical rarity |
| Spider Emulation (Feitan) | Feitan raid on Hunter Hunter map | 1% drop; 15-run pity |
| Ains (Supreme Being) | Evolve three Overlord units | Long sacrifice grind |
| Valentine | April Fools event | Limited window only |
Spider Emulation (Feitan) is one of the more deterministic grinds: the Feitan raid has a 15-run pity, so a worst-case scenario is 15 clears. Chuuni and Valentine are time-locked to the April Fools event. If that event is currently live, prioritize them before committing resources to longer projects like Ains or Griffin (Darkness), both of which require significant unit sacrifices.
What traits should you target on meta units?
Unique is not automatically correct. The right trait depends on whether the unit's primary value comes from its own scaling or from supporting the team.
| Trait | Best On | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| Unique | Illusionist, Supreme Being, Vengeful Swordsman, Ghost-kun, Chuuni, Elyssa, Valentine | Raises the unit's main scaling mechanic or summon value |
| Divine | Snow Reaper (Final), Zombie (Risen) | Adds range, attack speed, and damage without relying on a global ability |
| Range | Reliable Student (Echoes), Operator (ROOM) | Extends slow and control coverage |
| Golden | Spider Emulation (Feitan) | 30% damage boost pairs well with burn scaling |
Snow Reaper's freeze and slow effect is local, so running three Snow Reapers lets each one use a different trait without overlap. Divine covers range and attack speed simultaneously, which is why it outperforms Unique on her specifically.
