The dungeon is built around collecting eggs to mine large crystals, and it spawns boss and seasoned Salmonids that respawn over time rather than being a fixed pool. That respawn mechanic is what makes it so good: you can stay in a single run for as long as you want, continuously generating high-level enemies.
The optimal loop is straightforward. Move between the small crystals scattered across the dungeon, mining each one as you go. Each crystal interaction generates enemy spawns, and those enemies drop loot. You keep cycling through crystals, collecting drops, and repeating until you decide to end the run or your tank can't handle the accumulating pressure.
Level 80 Salmonids appear regularly in Lintle Inlet. If those are giving you trouble, spend time in the Bottomless Buffet first to build confidence and gear before committing to extended Super Spicy sessions. After testing this method against the Bottomless Buffet and Lintle Inlet, it's worth being honest: Awlmun Den is better for farming materials and Spirhalite Shards than for weapons specifically. That said, the skip is fast enough that it's worth knowing.
Here's how to execute it:
- Equip the Speed tank and the Jump Bomb gadget.
- Develop and equip the Double Trouble part on the Jump Bomb.
- Enter Awlmun Den on Super Spicy.
- Swim forward until you're positioned just beneath the platform holding the Stingers.
- Press X to call your bot to that position.
- Perform a Bot Hop.
- While airborne, press X again to make the bot jump up to you, then perform a second midair Bot Hop.
