Operation Atramentum is live in Warframe, and it's one of the more accessible events Digital Extremes has run in a while. The entire reward loop runs through a single currency called Nightmare Tatters, and the fastest way to earn them has nothing to do with the event's featured game mode. Here's everything you need to know to clear out the reward shop before the April 23 deadline.
How does Operation Atramentum work?
The event centers on farming Nightmare Tatters, an operation-exclusive currency you spend at Aspirant Zorba in any Relay. To find Zorba, open the fast-travel Q wheel while in a Relay and look for him in the top-left position. Select Browse Operation Atramentum Wares to access the full reward list.
Players need a total of 765 Nightmare Tatters to acquire all event-exclusive items. That sounds like a lot, but the farming math works out in your favor.
info
All rewards from Operation Atramentum are cosmetic. There are no gameplay-affecting items or Arcanes tied to this event.

What is the fastest way to farm Nightmare Tatters?
Skip Follie's Hunt for currency farming. Nightmare missions are the clear winner here, and the math backs it up.
Nightmare missions award a flat 10 Nightmare Tatters per completion, regardless of which one you run. There are 17 Nightmare missions available on a fully completed starchart at any given time, and they refresh every 8 hours. That means three full rotations per day gives you access to over 50 missions, which is more than enough to clear the shop in a single dedicated session if you're willing to put in the time.
As a bonus, Nightmare missions drop Nightmare Mods as a byproduct. High-value mods like Hammer Shot and Blaze sell well on the trade market, so you're not just grinding for event currency.
What about Follie's Hunt?
Follie's Hunt (accessed from Vesper Relay) is the event's themed game mode, and it does reward Nightmare Tatters, just at a much lower rate. Here's the breakdown per run:
Even at the theoretical maximum of 13 Nightmare Tatters per Steel Path Follie's Hunt run, Nightmare missions are more efficient and require far less effort. The only reason to run Follie's Hunt is if you're actively farming the Follie Warframe and want to double-dip on currency.

How long does Operation Atramentum run?
The event runs until April 23 at 11:30 AM ET (8:30 AM PT / 10:30 AM CT). The operation launched with a few hours of delay from its original April 2 start date, so a minor extension is possible, but don't count on it. Plan around the confirmed end time.
With roughly three weeks of runtime remaining as of early April, doing a handful of Nightmare missions each day is all it takes to grab everything without a single marathon session.

The Universal Medallions are worth prioritizing. With Voruna Prime releasing on April 8, having a stockpile ready lets you fast-track Standing with relevant Syndicates immediately on launch.
Is there a clan component?
Yes. Clan trophies are part of Operation Atramentum for players who want the competitive side of things. The core reward shop is accessible to solo players without any clan requirement, but Clans can earn trophies through collective participation.
